This week, NEW AVENGERS #1 by Sam Humphries and Ton Lima assembled Earth’s deadliest heroes. When a mysterious laboratory in Russia run by the maniacal Jackal produced seven clones of the original Illuminati, the Winter Soldier and Black Widow recruited Wolverine (Laura Kinney) and Namor to handle the twisted duplicate of the Inhuman king, Black Bolt.

In NEW AVENGERS #2, the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension enters the fold. Welcome to the New Avengers, Clea Strange. The preview for the upcoming issue opens with Bucky Barnes entangled in the sinister Reed Richards duplicate's grip, as his teammates desperately try to liberate him. Seeing all seven of their assailants side by side, the New Avengers then realize that these are no random clones but rather recreations of the original Illuminati.
