Namor poster by Scott Hampton

Today's poster choice comes via special request by Marvel.com Assistant Editor Ben Morse!

In Ben's words, "It's hard not to be enthralled by the intoxicating masculinity of Namor, the Sub-Mariner, in fully-painted form." Well said!

I too love this poster (cool painted images = bliss to Agent M), but I have a rather love-hate relationship with ol' fish-guts. He's totally hardcore and can smash the crap outta pretty much anything, yet he doesn't always get his due.

Also, I remember loving Jae Lee's rendition of Namor back in the early '90s. Wasn't Subby head of a large corporation? Dude rules the seas, can go toe-to-toe with Hulk and has (had?) a company to rival Osborn Corp., Roxxon and the rest. I vote Namor in 2008!

Oh, and I had to take this poster off the wall to photograph it because I was getting some hideous glare no matter how I tried to shoot it. Fingers crossed that I don't get in trouble for messin' with the digs!

As for namor
I think Scott Hampton's Namor is pretty good; like the way he drew the abs and the tridant(sp?)! Will there be another poster by the same artist?

Ben Morse I LUV you for picking this one! Now, if you could only do something about getting Namor a _good_ ongoing book, I'd sing your praises daily. Thanks for posting it Agent M, and I have to agree: Jae Lee's Namor rocked in the 90s and in the more recent MK FF 1234... he should do a Namor poster.
