Holiday Hangover Part 4: Marvel Published My First Comic Book Story

Amidst all the wild stuff going on in the weeks leading up to the Holidays, I was able to complete one of my goals in life: Write a comic book story published by Marvel Comics.
Here in my office we handle all things digital for Marvel, including Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. When my boss John Cerilli asked us for holiday-themed story ideas for the Marvel Digital Holiday Special, I came up with a quick little tale about a wayward Skrull who insinuates himself into humanity during the holidays. When we whittled down all the ideas, mine was one of the few approved.
To say I was elated would be an understatement. I suggested that the art be handled by my friend Juan Doe, who also happens to be one of my favorite artists. Somehow the stars aligned, everything came together and we created a creepy little tale called "Last Christmas" that I'm very proud of.
Unfortunately, the story was only free through the holidays, and you can only see it now if you subscribe to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. If you can, read it here, because along with "Last Christmas," you can read a bunch of other funny, touching and great stories.
If you're not a subscriber, then you can at least enjoy the three rough sketches Juan sent in before turning in his final pages. I tell ya, it still blows my mind. Make mine Marvel.
