I hope someone answered that question by saying that hosting all the big events in their own miniseries undermines the relevance of the ongoing series. Why would a reader bother reading a book that doesn't appear to chart any of the major events in its characters' lives? Look at how the two secondary Spider-Man titles have stagnantly performed while all the major events in Spidey's life are being covered in full by Civil War and Amazing Spider-Man - and for that matter imagine how much better ASM would be selling in the long-term if the unmasking had taken place there (as opposed to Civil War, where it didn't even get as much as a SINGLE PANEL of play after the reveal!!!). The World War Hulk thing seems completely bizarre to me, with the ongoing series carrying on beside it, but I expect there will be good cohesion with them having the same writer.
