Thats awful, its always horrible to hear that someone is suffering like that. I'll keep Mark in my prayers. I hope he gets a break and feels better soon. (Is there any other way to leave donations or such? I currently can't afford such auctions. Unfortunately.)

Having a family member that suffers from the same disease, I know the hardships that Mark and his family are going through. I pray that these donations can really stop this devastating disease.

Get well soon, Mark! I don't know if we have any other writers out there brave enough to, for example, skewer Alan Moore's sacred cows when writing Swamp Thing (and still be worth reading).
