We'll see...
You know, I was never too much of a Punisher fan. Some aspects interested me, but not enough to reserve a part of my paycheck for. I've resolved myself to getting every tie-in with Civil War (some have worked out like Amazing Spiderman and some haven't... like She-Hulk) and I will leave no title behind. I'd like to see how Frank has to respond to Civil War now that he's being re-integrated back into the main Marvel U.

It looks pretty awsome. I ordered the black and white variant. Some comics just look cooler in black and white.

'bout frickin time
I'd love to see him in the thick of things and telling Iron Man or Cap to go stuff it. Punisher's always been there, but he's always been on the periphery of the MU, teaming up with similarly calibered vigilanties (and one bizarre Captain America team up in the 80s).
Just once I'd love to see him in the midst of all the major players in the 616...and just completely snub them, maybe even kick the tar out of a few.

'Atta boy
I've been waiting, nay dying for punisher to get back into the habit of fighting super powered villains/heroes, and thanks to civil war I finnally get my wish.
On another note, the artwork looks absolutely outstanding. For some strange reason I was thinking the art for this series was going to turn out rather cartoony and childish, but from the samples I've seen so far it looks perfect.
P.S. I'm glad to see stilt man again, its been too long.

I'm not looking to pick this up but I like what I see.

Not impressed
Long time Punisher fan and completist here - we're talking hundreds upon hundreds of issues of Punisher.
Haven't you guys learned anything from the MAX Punisher title? *Why* are you putting Frank back in those idiotic and furthermore highly *impractical* white gloves?
I was really hoping that the relaunch of Punisher War Journal would herald something at least half as good as MAX Punisher. This art looks grotesque to me - his arms are misshapen, and he looks like a gorilla.
I'm rather disappointed. No, I can't lie. I'm deeply, deeply disappointed. I was hoping for something iconic, something that harkened back to the early days of War Journal (when it was still good), when Frank was drawn stylized yet realistically, but not like *this.*
No wonder so many Punisher fans on the various boards are hesitant about the relaunch of War Journal given the writer's so called "vision" of Frank and this art.
I hope it gets better.

Thank you Marvel
This is a return to how The Punisher should be done!

Deacon...
check out the one shot Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe from the mid-90's. It was written by Ennis (I believe) and has Frank snubbing out the major players in the MU.

Punisher vs Supervillains!
Thank you Marvel!
Someone at Marvel has some commonsense! You can do both a out of continuity MAX Punisher book and a Punisher book fully immersed in the Marvel U.
I love Ennis' Punisher, but I am sorta burnt out on Frank fights armani suited gangster of the month or demented stereotype of the month.
Punisher can fight guys like Bullseye or Electro from time to time no crime in that.

Thank you Marvel!
Thank you for bringing back the REAL Punisher. No disrespect to Mr. Ennis but this MAX character he´s writing is just not the real McCoy (his MK Punisher was great though).

Looks alittle cartoonish...
But regardless, I'll still pick it up. I'm curious what The Punisher's contribution to the Civil War will be. And this is a mini-series? Or is he getting another full series?
