a Daredevil game would be interesting.. would it be shipped with a blindfold? and maybe probes to stick different places in your body to hook up via the usb port.. seriously I'd like to play as the bad guys: Venom would be awesome! oh, and Carnage and Toxin.. Green Goblin, Magneto of course, Ultron, Vulcan..uh, and Wrecker, Dr Octopus! Electro.. all of them!

A Cable game wud b awesome, goin through all different time periods, makin full of use of the time travel n his powers and that!! A proper X Men game were it aint like legends or ultimate alliance, more like a 3rd person game and more rpg based like, more grown up aswell, don't dumb em down, and include a huge roster of characters like, don't just mainstream it like. A Daredevil game wud b totally awesome aswell, proper gritty n made like propa crime noir esque!!

Daredevil Game
Daredevil would make for a fantastic game. It could be free roaming like Spider-Man 3, and it could utilize his Radar sense which would make for a great game gimic. For example you activate his radar sense and it highlights a quick way to move through the city (because you can't just swing on webs). When in combat it could target nerve clusters for you, slow down time, and help you bust out some insane combos.

But most importantly the excellent, intelligent, mature stories that Daredevil has in his history you could use to make your game story. Heck, a game based on Frank Miller's run or even the Bendis/Maleev run. The game could be based on the 6 months after Matt declared himself the Kingpin, when he disapeared and there was only Daredevil getting rid of crime 24/7.

I think it'd be great.

Ideas for Games
First and foremost, if we have another Spiderman game, can we have it on the original comics, rather than the movies or the Ultimate Universe? There's nearly 5 decades of material you can access there.

In regards to new characters having games, I would quite like the female heroes of Marvel to appear in their own games, like Ms. Marvel, Storm, Jean Grey or Elektra. Namor would also make sense to have his own game. One thing I'd also love to see is a game based on a famous Marvel Comic Event. Think of a strategy game for Secret Wars or Civil War where you play as Cap, Tony or Doom and order your heroes across the battlefield, or a shoot-em-up for Annihilation Conquest with Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon. Oh, and MUA 2, defintely. With Thanos as the villain - sweet! :P

MUA2, WHEN?
Activision recently confirmed a sequel for MUA slotted for release this year. Can you give us a specific release date? Also--- will there be any further installments in the X-MEN LEGENDS franchise, or will they mainly exist as a sub-set of MUA characters?

X-MEN LEGENDS was the reason I bought an X-box.
MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE was the reason I caved and bought an X-Box 360.

What I'm saying here is that I love these games so much and want sequel-age so badly, I'm willing to buy a new console to play them on.

XML3--- will it happen? And when it does, can we finally get Angel and Kitty Pryde as playable characters? (I've actually spent way too much time figuring out a workable powerset for each of them within the structure of MUA/XML gameplay.)

MUA2: Seriously--- when?? I'm dying for a sequel here. And please, please, please try and keep most of not all of the playables and unlockables from the first game, and ADD to the roster. What is the hard limit on the depth of the roster? With dlc characters, we ended up with 33 in the first game. Are there hardware restrictions that would keep us under 40? 50? Because we really need to add Giant-Man, Namor, Wasp, Vision, Beast, Nova, Black Bolt... and about sixty majillion more in there eventually....

Games to Come
I agree on the Daredevil idea, just don't put a skin on Spider-Man. I also would like to see a Captain America game, but first person is absolutely ludicrous. It would be better made into a 3rd person fighting game similiar to God of War/Ghost Rider, with intricate physical and shield combos that create a martial arts experience worthy of Cap. Oh, and unlike Ghost Rider, please write in a good story line and interesting unlockables and things to gain along the way. Only my 10 year old son was able to finish Ghost Rider, I played 1/3 or 1/2 of the way and realized when I stopped that there was nothing new to look forward to to come back for.

I think that something interesting could be done with Dr. Strange. Sort of a Knights of the Old Republic magic-user RPG. It could include Defenders/Marvel Knights side characters in the party, as well as an intricate magic system that Dr. Strange could "learn" over the process of the game. Again, please, a good story!

Since online co-op and versus games are obviously the best bet these days, if you can't do a strict MMO, something along the lines of a 3rd person MUA experience would be extra saleable. In other words, simulate an MMO experience in the vein of Elder Scrolls with lots of online opportunities. Of course with online can come a certain twitchy-ness to the gameplay...but it'd be possible to work it in.

Anyway, you guys are doing a pretty great job of putting out some fine Marvel-related games. My son and I tend to pick up every Marvel-themed game that looks to be worth playing, and at least half (or more) do not disappoint. And though Spider-Man 2, 3, and Ultimate Spider-Man were genius, I realized halfway through 3 that was I getting a bit sick of playing what felt like the same game over and over. Genius and Uniqueness disappear with time.

More ideas! More games! Keep it up!

Marvel Annihilation
Here's my idea...

a RTS/TBS centered around the efforts of the Annihilations Wave. You control a certain Character to start (Ronan, Super Skrull, Silver Surfer, Nova, Captain Marvel etc) and then, in a map based campaign, set about to stop the Annihilation.

I'm thinking something like Romance of the Three Kingdoms/Star Trek:Birth of the Federation/Dawn of War: Dark Crusade that would have a turn based political and tactical aspect, and a real time battle tactical aspect.

For "Boss" battles, you would want something more akin to a fighter, but that wouldn't eb too hard to put in.

There have been 3 Spiderman movies, 2 FF, 1 DD, 1 Electra, Soon to be 2 Hulk, 2 Punisher, 1 Iron Man, & allegedly, a Thor movie in the works. (in the new age of Marvel movies) Not complaining mind u but what will it take to get some kind of content dedicated 2 one of the all-time classics, Captain America? You even killed Rogers off. Talk about a slap in the face. The least you could do is give the legend his own game. And no Ultimates version. The classic Avengers-era, round shield version.

I agree with previous post that a strategy game around Secert Wars, Civil War, or Annilation would make great games. Same goes for the Dr. Strange idea, and I love Captain America, Steve that is Bucky is doing fine in this era, but you can't replace Steve.

That said if you want MUA additional line up how bout Iron Fist, Ronin/Echo, Cable/Bishop, Namor, Vision, Scarlett Witch/Domino, Nova, Wasp, and Herc. With additional characters as skins like US Agent, Bucky's Cap, Punisher(Nick Fury),Shang-chi(Iron Fist/DD/Ronin), Red Hulk. Villians like Taskmaster, Thanos, some of Galactus' Heralds, Lizard/Freak, Annihilus, Carnage, and Kraven. With Kraven's fight being in virtual a pitch black swamp having to light torches or have someone like the Human Torch in the party to just find him let alone combat. Or the Wrecking Crew all at the same time! Plus throw in some Hydra, the Hand, and Gods. Asgardian or Olympian, the heros always seem to have a misunderstanding with both and end up in a throw down even when on the same side. Maybe even Hulk's Warbound.

IF there is a XL3 then how bout Forge, Maverick, Longshot, and Jubliee. And villians like the Purifiers, Vulcan, and Imperial Guard.

Avengers Game
I think it would be cool to play as the Avengers. Each main character plays a level designed for them. Although I'm not sure which version of Avengers would be best. I have no idea what the crisis would be. Maybe take on the Kree-Skrull war (which I think a lot of people would be interested in after Skrull Invasion). YOu could be Iron Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Thor, etc.

Heroes for Hire and More
In the same spectrum as MUA, you could choose between any old school or newer Heroes for Hire character, Iron Fist, Shang Chi, Luke Cage, Misty, Coleen... even throw in Paladin and Humbug... there's a lot of potential for MUA styled games... with so many characters out there in the Marvel world you're pretty much limitless.

How about AoA, Civil War, House of M, or any alternate version game again set in MUA?

Punisher shooter screams to be done...

I'd love a new Capcom/Marvel fighter...

Three words, LEGO MARVEL COMICS.

k, firstly: why did the EA game get cancelled?! it looked like a good idea with some nifty ass-kicking moments (putting to one side the fact that it ALMOST looked like that "marvel but-i-still-bought-it-and-played-it-to-death-anyway imperfects" game!..... really... what was with that?!)

i LOVED the marvel vs Capcom 2 game (spent MANY upon MANY hours drop kicking the living snot out of all my mates in my youth!) now THAT was a game!!! no fancy-pants "death moves" none of that "free roaming then lock on" button-combo bits, just good old 2D fighting with some spanking characters and a boat load of classic "hadoo-ken" style moves!!!!! the ONLY thing wrong with M vs C 2 was there just was not enought marvel characters in it!!! (but thats just greedy me wanting more!)

next on my "I WANT" list is marvel UA.... or xmen legends! it dont matter as i played them ALL till my tiny (yet manly!) hands twisted into arthritic lumps on the end of each arm!!! .... not joking!

Game Idea
I think the ultimate game would be a mixture of both MUA and the free style gaming of the GTA series. Think of it, a game where you can go on a road trip on your harley as Wolverine, explore the depths as Namor, swing through the streets as Spider-man. It would be pretty much living day to day as your favorite hero/heroine. Of course it doesn't necessarily need the extreme blood and gore as the GTA series, but the life like gaming that allows you to do nearly anything! That would be awsome!

I want to see an Ironman game that has absolutely no connection with the movie, with it's own story. Movie based games are usually the worst. When I here of an upcoming movie I instantly think of how they will rush to make a terrible game. I'm sure they'll do it to Wolverine and he could have a great game. Marvel needs to explore free roaming, and more M-Rated titles, for the characters who need it.

another marvel vs capcom/street fighter. so far imo they have been the best marvel fighting games. i would also like to see an ultimate alliance 2 but with charechters we have not played yet at all. we got the x-men in x-men legends and the ff in their game and even ghost rider in his. i am so tired of wolverine and spiderman. give me some charachters that have yet to make it into a game. start off small and then have your roster grow rather then having 20 charchters to start with. we get hulk but no she-hulk? i liked ms marvel and elektra. i guess i feel that there are so many charachters out there that marvel limits themselves to using the big names and never giving any time to some of the other charachters in the marvel u.

i like how in the matrix you could fight and have gun play plus have various special and kill or finish moves. Cap could be similar, maybe to the wolverine game. Have a him and falcon team up mode and maybe some bucky and wovlerine flashback mode, that would be hot. Then add a new shield tricks as well.

As You're Playing Ultimate Alliance, Enter the level 99 cheat in for characters so you don't get too overwhelmed, and then only use 1 or 2 chaacters. It gives the feel of it's own game for your special character

Next gen
I wanna see the teenage heroes get their own game. New X-men (Soon to be young X-men), Young Avengers, New Warriors, the Innitiative, hell even the new cap (Bucky, and yes I like this cap). I think I'm missing something, but my minds drawing a blank.

As far as that goes though, I want to see an X-23 game. It's not going to happen for twenty-odd years unless they make an X-force game, but I still like to muse.

And while I'm on the subject, I'd like to see a Warpath game. I've only recently started reading for the character (WWH and Messiah compleX, very recently) and would like to hear more on him (And yes, I have time for an eighty hour game and not the ten minutes it take to read the profiles on this website). Now I'm leaving the field of Next gen though, so I'll stop this post here.

Okay, just a little creative feedback for Ultimate Alliance, they need to embrace a few more second tier characters. I mean, Deadpool and Moonknight were really good additions, showing the rest of the marvel universe, but I'd still like to see them utilize someone like Wolfsebane or Madrox, or any number of psychics, or Iron Fist, the list can go on, but my Marvel lore doesn't run that deep (Next gen fan).

What happened?
My post vanished. Just to sum it up:

MUA2--- when? Activision confirmed it's on the sked, when are we gonna see it? Please, please, PLEASE keep most if not all of the characters from the first and add MORE to that. Is there a hard limit on how many we can get? There were 33 in the first one (on 360, counting dlc characters). Can we get fifty?

X-MEN LEGENDS 3--- is this franchise still going? Bring it back!

I bought an X-Box just to play X-MEN LEGENDS.
I bought a 360 just to play MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE.

What's it gonna take to get MUA2?
or X-MEN LEGENDS 3?

(And please get Angel and Kitty Pryde in there somewhere as playables!)

I don't trust Marvel with anything other than comics.

Spiderman has been my absolute favorite superhero of all time since I was 8. No one can touch him. Spidy may not be the most powerful superhero, but the artwork, story, and character development really made him better than Superman or Batman for me. He blows them both out of the water and opened me up to the world of Marvel. I totally fucks with Marvel.

Much to my frustration the Spiderman movies have been plagued with poor writing, poor directing, and a very unfitting cast--specifically Toby McGuire and Kirsten Dunst.

The the Spiderman video games are not as disappointing, but they also fail to live up to the Spidy standard. They're fun to play for about 10 minutes until you realize that you're just doing the same exact thing over and over again.

Today I feel like publishers make their profits off poor quality video games by slapping on some Marvel superhero like Spiderman, The Hulk, X-Men, Blade, Punisher, etc. The worst part is when the game sequel comes out promising to be what the gamer was looking for in the first game because now there is a "fully explorable environment" or "fully destructive environment" or "now you can play as the bad guys". In the end, the sequels are just a little less disappointing than the original movie game.

So, who would I like to see in a video game?

Unless the current pattern makes some major adjustments I would like to see no more Marvel games. I would hate to see Captain America, Thor, Ironman, Daredevil, Nick Fury, Electra, or any other Marvel heroes have their image tarnished by a worthless video game.

Once upon a time a Daredevil game was promised. Long have I waited for the Scarlet Swashbuckler to get his own game. I think it could use different types of "sight" for different situations. If I can't get that then I certainly need a MUA II since MUA is one of my favorite games to come out lately.

Hey how about some Ultimate Alliance info or even a release date would be awesome? Also a Daredevil game where you actually use your heightened sense of hearing (Wii remote speaker) or touch (rumble feature) in applicable situations. Or even a tactical SHIELD game in which you run support missions for heroes.

Daredevil Game
As many have stated already on this blog, a Daredevil game would be amazing. It they nailed the agility and acrobatics of the character rather than just hammering 'billy club' swinging it would be so much fun. Kinda like Assassins Creed but faster.

It seems like quite a few people want a Daredevil game, so give the masses what they want.

As a gamer...
I love video games more than marvel which is kind of surprising because i love marvel ALOT. So in my response, as a gamer, i know other gamers and/or other people love flying games, with GOOD flying design and gameplay with amazing aerodynamic flying. Also to try something new and really friken cool, i would say Silver Surfer cause even though i don't know to much about him he looks really cool and i know a few his powers which are also pretty friken cool. My 2nd opinion would be Angel (Warren Worthington III) PLZ, PLZ, PLZ, take mine into consideration. Peace

Maybe is a spin-off series but much fans would enjoy the game, imagine thousands of superheroes to eat and use as brain-eating ghouls to fight to the end for survival,it would be good to be able to play as aZombie or a surviving superhero, like Magneto,pless let Marvel Zombies game be alive!!!

A Marvel Zombies game would be amazing! What if you started off the game playing as living members of the Avengers in an impossible battle against zombified Sentry. Then switch off between playing as zombies and survivors (including Magneto in his last moments.) It may need a Mature rating but Marvel Zombies is genious! I mean Marvel characters eating people? It sells itself.

I'd Love to see a Doctor Strange game, personally. Not one based on the animated movie, mind you, but one tied to the original theme and origin of the Lee/Ditko era.

I think there are a lot of possibilities in being able to combine the noir and supernatural elements of the character into an action/RPG.

Wolverine/Deadpool
There needs to be a wolverine game that can be taken seriously. X2: Wolverine's revenge was horribly underdeveloped, repetitive, and really didn't reach the potential of the character's abilities. Wolverine is supposed to be a master of many fighting styles, have a vast knowledge of firearms, in addition to his claws. The fighting mechanic in no way took advantage of that. There needs to be a game that takes all facets of his fighting into consideration. Also, the potential for a great storyline is undeniable. You could start from his early life as a child-settler as an almost tutorial stage, and as each part in his life unfolds he could "learn" new techniques, and develop as a character. It could easily be developed into an RPG to rival even the greatest games throughout videogame history.

Or there could be a deadpool game. The combination of martial arts, vast weaponry, and teleportation lends itself well to a fantastic RPG with great range of fighting combo's.

A Nightcrawler game would also be awesome.

playing a super hero is fun and most of the marvel games have been fun... but how nice it would be to fight against marvels mightest heros..... a game featuring a mega supervillan, maybe the beyonder,, annihihus, apocalypse......and see how you far reigning distruction, and fighting earths mightest heros ...for a change......i dont know might be fun........maybe if at all possible a fighter sim game featuring a marvel verses dc.....was a great comic would be a better video game

Cable/Messiah Complex and The Punisher
I have two ideas, I think a game based on the Messiah CompleX storyline would be a great idea. I think that story translates especially well into a cinematic movie or video game experience. Perhaps you could make the game starring Cable and tell the story from his perspective so we can find out what all he was doing behind the scenes during the opening of Messiah CompleX.

Also, I believe someone mentioned it earlier but I would love another Punisher game based on the Ennis storylines. The game that came out around the time of the Thomas Jane Punisher movie was excellent. I recommended it to all of my friends as well as many customers who came into the Gamestop I worked at. It was really really good and actually did the character justice I thought. Maybe it would be fun to use some of the MAX storylines this time.

Another thing I would like to see is The Punisher's inclusion in more Marvel games period. Where was he during Marvel Ultimate Alliance? I loved that game but I think now that War Journal has been relaunched and Frank is running around in the Marvel Universe again that we should definitely see more of The Punisher in big crossover games like that. I remember anxiously playing Ultimate Alliance thinking "Wow! They've got Ghost Rider and Deadpool in here, Castle's got to be some kind of secret unlockable!"

Marvel Mercenaries
A third person game with all of the Marvel mercs, including the Six Pack, Cable, of course Deadpool, Taskmaster, maybe with a Mature or possibly an Adult rating. There is a wide variety of powers (such as Domino's Luck power, Deadpool/Solo's teleportation, Cable's telekinesis)

An Iron Fist game would be pretty awesome as well. Everybody loves kung fu, and Danny's life story has good plot developments

A dream I had, one filled with spiritual hope and deep prayer, i mean like deep meditation prayer... Had a Marvel Universe on the grandest of stages. a universe where i,or we can be any character,i mean Any Character! like mentioned above a Grand Theft Autoe'sque meets The Marvel Universe. But from crime on the streets solved by your fav, or going beyond earth, to outer space in different places,like to go sing with Blackblot,or simply go kick the crap outta Some scaly skrulls. Handle problems of all sorts, add a create a character mode where you yourself could ,use a webcam ,and customize ur own superhereo , then join the x-men,avengers,defenders,nova corp,Iron Men,Cap or his soilders!take a ride with johnny blaze,surf the stars, be Nova,ETC... !make it 1st,2nd, 3rd person and multiplayer! I mean a real No Limits on the Universe! I know a bunch of people would Dig It! An All Out Marvel Universe! Bananas...

Silver Surfer-Phasing through a building, a bus, and a train like the movie was one sweet move.

Daredevil-Poor guy never got his game on. Desperately needs it and deserves it.

6 Villians
Venom-two costumes, the classic tendrils one, and the new messed up, Spider-Man rip off one.

Dr. Doom-The comic version would be perfect for this guy, and for once not the main villian, cuz he never wins, and always gets killed or sumthing.

Doc Ock-We played as Green Goblin in the first SM movie game, we played as Venom in the USM game, but never got to see Doc Ock as a full playable character in a free roamer.
Tech-Four 2 arms scale heights and the other 2 to raise him off the ground
Apocolypse-No game has had this guy as a character. He was a boss in XML2 and in MVC2.
Blackheart-an awesome character (yet slow) in MVSF and a boss in MUA and Ghost Rider. Great character for Free Roam.
Tech-Vanish into a closeby shadow and reappear. kinda like NC's Teleporting.
The game could also have a classic fighter mode where you could play as those characters in full 3D, yet the gameplay would be in classic side-scroller style, unlike the unfortunate MRotI where they introduced 3D arena fighting marvel style along with some weird yet powerful new characters like Paragon. The graphics for the game could be low since there'd be alot to do, but a game with USM style edgy graphics would be great since the characters were originated in comics and the edgy look would look clean. Also, if possible, every building within the game should be accessible ground to roof, inside or out, from building windows to doors to elevators. That would be awesome. Also since it wouldn't be possible on 360, the game as a PS3 exclusive would be great as well.

One of my favourite ideas has always been an FPS based on Cable and Deadpool (and quite possibly related issues either side of that series including Messiah Complex and the new Cable series) What I really like the idea of however would be to have Free Radical (the developer who created Timesplitters) to be the ones to make it: they've done time travel, they've done psychic powers, they've done humour and they've certainly done fun games. Seems like the perfect match to me... it's a pity that I doubt they'd be interested in the license....

Generally I'd like to play games which just use as much of the 'marvel license as possible' - say take MUA with all the characters from all the versions, then add in She-hulk, Cable, Man Thing, Punisher, Nova, Iron Fist and generally any character currently featured in a core universe book plus any iconic ones which are dead. Either with an action RPG or a fighting game it could be great fun just to concoct some bizarre teams.... how about a team consisting of how about beign able to have Howard the Duck fight Deadpool. I think the real trick in general is to utilise the universe to tis fullest potential and not just stick to the really famous characters.

On a side note a game similar to spider-man 2 (possibly 3, I havent played it...) but with various characters in it would be good fun - Nightcrawler in particular springs to mind but anyone with an interesting means of moving around the city could be great fun.

An Avengers game with the full roster of the 1980's (including characters like Starfox)...West Coast Avengers...Thor (based in appearance and storyline on Simonson's run)...Daredevil (Bendis/Maleev, Gaydos, Lark, Bru era)...Cap! of course (Bru/Epting era with Kirby and Steranko flashbacks)...heck, how about any game that looks like Kirby-style animated (FF, Inhumans, Devil Dinosaur, Eternals), Iron Fist with Heroes for Hire participation (Fraction/Bru/Aja style would be a huuuuuuge hit)...Power Pack...Marvel magic-verse with Dr. Strange and all the other occult characters...It's too bad Marvel lost rights to Micronauts, ROM, and G.I. Joe...more obscure characters like Howard the Duck...Get Stan the Man to do narration!

Not only would i like to see these games made, but i would also like to see marvel take a step back from the rpg style gameplay spawned from x-men legend (except for ultimate alliance II of course). dont get me wrong, those games were fun and all, but imagine how cool it would be if we saw a game with spinter cell quality graphics. of course that wouldnt suit every character but for someone like the punisher or possibly daredevil i think it would mesh well. the main point is that seeing either the RPGs or half made movie themed games (F.F. 1&2) released from marvel year after year is getting old. i would like to see some more originality (no lego games please!) and unique feels to characters as opposed the more generic ones that we see so often in those rpg style games. marvel has too diverse of a character selection to waste the time and money on half-baked notions. the punisher game was a great start. i also felt Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects was a step in the right direction. although it did have its flaws, every character had their own feel to them and their own unique detailed animations such as walking and running styles ect. anyway, im rambeling. sorry. i hope someone up the ladder reads this though. thanks!

Video Game Ideas
I grew up reading Marvel comics and am now also a gamer. It's great to me every chance I get to play as one of my favorite heroes!

I think the Marvel MMO would have been a GREAT next step. The idea of it actually helped me decide which Next-Gen video game system I was going to buy.

In case anyone is listening, here is an idea of how I thought it could go: Most people have played some type of MMO at this point, so, we have an idea how they are played. Hundreds of characters all running around at the same time. This obviously would not work for a Marvel MMO. It would be weird to have 20 or 30 Spideys all swinging around the same city at the same time. So, instead of the regular "open world" MMO, what I would suggest is when you log into the game, you are at something similar to a comic book stand. On this stand there are books to choose from representing the stories/areas that are available to play in. Let's say the books are for example: The Civil War, The Secret Invaision, Age of Apocalypse, The House of M or even the Secret War #1. After you choose one of the books, on the cover it will show you which characters are available to be played in that particular story. You wouldn't want to open Cap or Ironman up to be played in the Civil War, for example, because they have key roles to play. So players could choose from other characters and if the one they want is not available, then they could try another "issue" of that same story. This would also allow characters who were not in the original to take part in the story. Say you want to bring Nova home to Earth and take part in the Civil War or see if the Sentry could have made a difference in House of M. Plus, this way you could also choose the length of your game. Say you want to experiance the entire Civil War or just battle Galactus the first time he came to Earth. With the rich history of Marvel stories, there would be no need to make up too many "go here/beat that" missions that most MMO use. Allow gamers and comic fans the chance to explore, take part in or try and change the outcome of some of their favorite stories.

What I'd also like to see(like a LOT of folks it seems) is Ultimate Alliance 2. The first is arguably the BEST comic based video game of all time. There HAS to be at least a second, if not more!

You asked for heroes who haven't had their own games, so, other ideas I have:

First off, THOR! Battle thru Ragnarok or even take it from the current story arch to rebuild Asgard and find his lost people.

Silver Surfer or Nova - This would be an open exploration type game where you can travel around the universe helping people on different planets. Would probably fit well with the Annihalation Wave.

The Punisher - Think GTA, but if you get too many "stars" not only will the cops but SHIELD or Captain America comes after you!

A Civil War fighting game would also be good. Or, someone mentioned the Unlimited Wrestling Federation, how about Contest of the Champions?

How about an RTS where you could be SHIELD or the Red Skull and deploy your armies to take control of areas on a map. Having Captain America or Crossbones as "special weapons characters" you can deploy.

Finally, how about playing as Dr. Doom or Magneto and see if you can actually take over the world and defeat it's greatest heroes one at a time?

i wana see a deadpool game. he needs more hype then just geust staring in another game. deadpool needs to be more well known so we can make him into a movie. but realy, deadpool is a favorite with the people who have played MUA. my friend works at a comic book store and this kid came in with his dad and they asked for Deadpool comics because the played the game and liked deadpool (so we gave them the Wolverine Origins comic with deadpool). and a deadpool game would be alot of fun.

oh and what everyone wants is a third "Marvel VS Capcom" so you guys have to get that game made, lol

Any and all of these characters would be great in games, as long as the stories live up to Marvel standards. But a punisher that doesn't use his weapons to thier bloodiest potential won't fly! All we really want isto see these guys and gals do what they do, not dumbed down for mass consumption, or watered down for kiddies. Sure, do Ultimate Spidey for the kids, but let me get control of some bloody as hell berserker rage too!!
My point is, now that you guys have control of ALL your games, give us the powers we really want!

Games for PC!!!
There're lots of games that would be cool, e.g. an own daredevil-game, an avengers-game, maybe like MUA or F4 with storys and characters based on the avengers, the ultimates, the new avengers, the young avengers, a-next, the thunderbolts.... And, of course, MUA 2 with lots of heroes (50 or more would be cool, maybe downloadable stuff, maybe some no-more-villains like venom or winter soldier)!!!

All this would be very cool of course (!) and there are many other cool ideas, but please release all the games also for PC!!! I'm always jealous when there are games like incredible Hulk: Ultimate destruction not for PC!!

If it was done well Iron Fist could be a huge franchise because it would not only be asuperhero game it would cover the kung fu genre as well. Tekken / Iron Fist?

Also rather than yet another fighting game or a basic 'go to the nextroom for a cut scene' type game it needs to be in more of an interactive world. Any of the street level heroes works for this. Think of Assassins Creed, climbing walls, free-running with superpowers all around new york.

All of these are awesome game ideas and would sweet to experience.
Heres a short and quick idea though. A one on one fighter game that has an obscene amount of characters and unlockables. I mean the marvel universe to be 'opened'. Characters with connections open others and so forth. But with the simple style of the marvel vs. capcom games. All of the appropriate powers at your disposal. That would be fun and have a replayability factor that would irresistable.

I would love to see a game spotlighting Daredevil. He's my favorite hero and it seems to me like we don't see enough of him. It could be in the same feel as the Spider-man games, where you have free roaming throughout New York (paticulary Hell's Kitchen), but add some new and fresh gameplay and really take advantage of DD's capabilities.

Other than that, I would love to see the Marvel fighting game back in the works. The idea of being able to challenge your friends with your favorite character against theirs is awesome. I was really upset when I heard it was canceled. Please bring it back.

I would like Marvel to re-start the project for the Ultimate fighting game which it intended to develop with EA, but as per gamespot.com's info, the project went bust.

As far as your question of the week is concerned, which super hero.......Captain America game, which includes his beginings from the days with Bucky and Invaders to his death and beyond. The game should avoid lousy villians, only the likes of Red Skull, Ultron, Dr. Doom should be used.

Best Marvel Superhero
The best Marvel Superhero is Cable. What is not to like about Scott Summers and Jean (Grey) Summers son. Even the Ultimate X-Men's Cable is awesome. Think about it. Two of the most powerful X-Men produce an offspring whose who goal in life is to destroy apocolypse.
Another great game would be to play the Age of Apocolypse series. Blink was a cool character as was Morph, and battling "good guys gone bad" would be cool.

Not sure why my original post disappeared, but I wanted to restate my "vote" (?) for a Doctor Strange game. With the recent upsurge in the "magic" genre (read: Harry Potter; Spiderwick; Golden Compass) it could be a viable property if marketed well.

I would rather it harkened back to the original Lee/Ditko era, having a darker, noirish atmosphere, instead of the (much-appreciated but overly x-men-ish) animated movie.

Ability to add characters?
Ive always wondered why some game developer didnt figure out how to add characters and levels to a pre-existig game like MUA. Then after the game had been out for a while I think marvel released hulk, cyclops and some others. Thats a smart way to go.

Imagine if capcom had figured that out back in the day? They couldve sold us the Xmen COA, Xmen Vs Streetfighter, and marvel vs capcom packs all in addition to those original engines and they could STILL be making new packs.

Personally, I can't wait for more news on Activision's projects (New Spidey and M:UA). I know the 360 and PS3 get the lion's share of attention in new games, but I am currently gaming on the Wii and PSP, and hope those systems keep getting the Marvel love.

Speaking of which, I'm also looking forward to Sega's two summer movie games, although I was hoping they would both be out on PSP, only Iron Man has been announced, and not Incredible Hulk. I love playing the Marvel games on PSP, so I am curious as to why Sega is making an Iron Man game for PSP, but not Incredible Hulk?

As for your questions, I would love to see a Daredevil game, an Avengers Legends game a la X-Men Legends, and, of course, everyone's favorite long shot: Marvel Vs. Capcom 3!

Let me get this off my chest first, next time marvel decicdes to put an X-men cartoon on television, can they please make it worth while. I don't think comic readers cared to much of the idea of x-men starting off form the freaking wonder years montage. Hey I know there trying recive the young viewers ,but younger audience is not studip or lack of the knowlege of a good story. What ever happened to the way cartoons were maid back in the early to mid 90's. Dramatic with a good story and full of details. Alright now ack to the cansole games...

Silver Surfer Space based game
I would love to see a Silver Surfer, Space based, game where the player could assume the role of the Surfer hurtling through the cosmos and fighting massive kree armadas, brood swarms, and various super villain bosses (Terax, Fire Lord, etc) culminating in the ultimate showdown with Thanos! Or something along those lines, you get the idea. 3D Space combat for teh win!

On a side note: It's a shame the MMO project with Cryptic Studios fell apart. It was probably the my most eagerly awaited project out there. Frankly the console stuff bores me. But a persistent world MMO? Now that would have been sweet.

The Legends games and the MUA were as close to perfect as I've played so far in regards to Marvel games. Legends 2 was my favorite and needs to be continued. I also agree with him on the Angel character desperately needing some spotlight. Archangel is my favorite character of all time and would be a great add-on in either MUA or a Legends 3. Mind you, it's Archangel, not Angel...cuz honestly what can he do except fly and heal?

I did not know about a Marvel MMO but would definitely like to see one someday.

Angel's Powerset
Okay, I've had two responses posted then vanish. I dunno what's up, but the Marvel boards have never been super-consistent anyway.

To review: MUA2 and X-MEN LEGENDS 3, wanted BADLY!

In response to hardware... : The way I envision it, Angel could easily work quite well on his own, with Archangel as an upgrade or alternate skin. You have to bend comics-reality a little (as with the Julia Carpenter Secret Wars Spider-Woman having Venom Blast powers), but it can work.

Basic attacks could include "Wing-Snap", where he snaps his wings forward and strikes a melee blow with a chance for knockback (see his appearances in Excal. Vol 2 for a detailed Claremontian explanation for how effective that can be); "Wing Span" which is a radial with the wings at full extension, spinning to strike multiple nearby enemies with a pop-up; "Dive Bomb" where Warren flies up and comes slamming down onto one opponent with a chance to stun; "Flying Charge" which works like the beat-down attacks Colossus and Wolverine have, except he grabs the enemy, flies him into the air, and slams him into the ground; "Angel Eyes" which functions like a boost, showing enemy positions on the map and increasing everyone's chance to dodge; "Healing Blood" restores health to the party at the cost of a percentage of Angel's max health; "Saving Grace" which works like Nighcrawler's special where he has a chance to swoop in and save party members on the verge of death. ...

And then the Archangel skin (costume alternate) grants a "bleed damage" boost, so that all wing attacks do additional bleed damage as bladed weapons. Other skins could include Original X-Men, Classic, and Ultimate. At least one skin should come with an "Environment Damage" boost, like the civilian Modern Wolverine in MUA2 so he can do extra damage with found items and weapons (like the cover of X-MEN #1).

Marvel Mini Mates?
Ive played the Lego Star Wars games..and loved every one of them. Im totally looking forward to Lego Batman and Lego Indiana Jones!! So how about a Marvel version? Or better yet...a Mini Mates game!!

Now I know that Mini Mates arent Legos, but they look real similiar!! So how about a videogame featuring the heroes and villians of Marvel Mini-style?? I know Id buy it for sure!!

And as for what others have written, I totally agree!

MUA 2 is the one game I am MOST looking forward to! Of all of the great games on the horizon, this is the one that has me squirming in anticipation!! My one request is that you mix it up a bit and put in heroes that were NOT in the first one!!

XML 3 is another one that Id love to see! There is so much more that you could do with this series, so many other storylines you could explore, so many new characters you could include! Please make this game!!!

And lastly, the suggestion that was made regarding a Dr Strange game ala KOTOR would be AWESOME!!!! Just imagine the possiblities!! That would most definitely be a sweeeet game!!

I would love to see Ultimate hulk 2 but with more destructible buildings and skins of the hulk. Also I agree with mua2 with additional characters. I would really like to see another marvel vs capcom 2 with added charcters like all the ff and avengers. I would also like to see a venom game like the side scroller maximum carnage (classic) or free roam but would love to see an update on the arcade game that had hawkeye, spiderman, namor, and a coulpe of other heroes updated cant think of the name of it.

A question concerning Marvel Universe Online
With the advent of Marvel Universe Online's cancellation, I was wondering if you could answer some questions.

My first question is: Is there any chance you guys might bring this game back to life? Particularly considering the sources at IGN suggesting that DC is trying to come out with its own mmo?

My other question is: If the theoretical concept for Marvel Universe Online were to be resurrected, is there any chance you guys could bring it out for the PS3, Wii, and X-Box 360 as well as for the PC?

Game Fixation
Recently I've gone back to playing a lot of the Samuri warriors/ Dynasty warriors games. I thought a marvel game built on the same engine would be very intrugeing. Most of them have a large cast, and seeing that many Marvel characters duking it out with endless hordes of baddies would be very interesting. Not to mention, of course, huge replay value.

I'm sure the flying heroes would be problematic, but a 'cieling' could be employed to allow gamers the use of flight in such missions, with airborne bad guys as well.

just a thought.

Daredevil Game
Daredevil deserves his own video game. It was made once and was going to be released in 2004 but then it was cancelled and it didnt come out. 3D free roaming, swinging, dodging bullets, jumping from rooftop to rooftop around Hells Kitchen beating up thugs would be the best. People already have some great ideas about it on the boards.

I'm a hardcore Jean Grey fan and i wanted to suggest a sequel to marvel untimate alliance and suggest that you add even more characters like Jean Grey and Many More....cause there is more....and think about a much more harder and longer story to the game.....and you can give her and newly set of powers that of course branch out from her telekinesis and telepathy.....like a telekinetic scream that would have a burst of force that would swing the opponent outward and taking some lifeforce with telepathic side effect

Ok picture this, Marvels greatest Galactic Heroes in a X-men legans/Ultimat Alliance style game.

With two major storyline out there Annihilation/Conquest marvel has plenty of back ground to form a games with all of its intercalactic heroes I would love to see a game where you could team up charactes such as NOVA, RONAN, Super Krulll, Draxx, ADAM WARLOCK and even Rocket Racoon

EA fighting game: True or False
EA Chicago was working on a Marvel fighting game a couple of months ago. The game was featured on several websites and seemed to be a decent way through production, and the game itself looked awesome, the footage shown being of Cap throwing the Hulk into a fully destructible Grand Central Station. EA Chicago, however, was shut down by EA and nothing has been said regarding the several seemingly high profile titles they were working on. Can you guys say if that game is still under development or if it was canceled entirely?

While its great to look towards Marvel's future, I have fond memories of some of the Spider-Man games of the early 90's. In particular, SEGA made several great Marvel games. I would love for Sega to put out a compilation of their Marvel titles, that would consist of:

-Spider-Man (Genesis)
-Spider-Man Vs. the Kingpin (Sega CD)
-Spider-Man: The Arcade Game
-Spider-Man: Web of Fire (32x)
-X-Men (Genesis)

I know Activision currently has publishing rights to Spidey and the X-Men, but since Sega is now working with Marvel again, and have published several classic compilations in the past (Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Gems Collection, Sega Genesis Collection), I would love to see this happen!

i think they should have a deadpool game on the wii similar to red steel but with a healing factor, decent graphics and lots more ways to kill people :).
A gambit game would be great but hard to pull off. I'd like a colossus one but he is not important enough or have enough of his own stories to do :'( but the origins for him may change that. My real idea would be to have a DBZ tenkaichi style fighting game. picture this you can have a boxing match between colossus and the thing in new york city... and ariel confrontation between angel and canonball around the shield helicarrier... an showdown in shi'ar space between sentry and thor... the possibilities are limitless. And powers shouldn't be damped down either to make sure all characters have an equel chance so tou can really see which heroes (or villains) are the best. Odin vs. frog man FTW.

Sentry, Black Bolt, or Namor I think thses would be the best these guys are way over do for a game NAMOR WAS ONE OF THE FIRST HERO/ViLLAINS EVER!!!! oh and i liked the idea about a secret wars or civil war game. I'm not familiar with secret wars but I've heard of it from my dad. =)

E10+ Game thoughts
Uh, I'd like these game to be E10+ and I think about Moon Knight, Ghost rider: Time Warp(A game idea like X-men legends games and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, except you must always have Ghost rider in your team because most levels would have non-optional contraptions that require hellfire), a remake of Spider-man: Maximum Carnage, and Gambit's Mission(Gambit finds himself the only one able to stop the X-cutioner from launching nukes that would effect every mutant in the world) But these are just my thoughts.

1. Will there ever be a Marvel Civil War game, where you pick two sides (One is Pro-registration, while the other is Anti-registration) and have a unique ending depending on which side you pick?

2. Will there ever be a Secret Invasion game in the future?

3. Would you guys consider developing/making an X-Men Legends 3 in the future?

4. If given the option, would Marvel consider doing like a real-time strategy game?

MUA 2
Marvel Ultimate Alliance was one of the best games ever! We need a sequel to that plus Marvel universe online game & the Marvel fighting game that was cancelled. Also, enough with the free roam games. I still haven't finished Ultimate Spider-Man or the latest Spider-Man game because I lost interest in them. I still throw in my Marvel Ultimate Alliance once & a while( best game ever).

Agreed, Spiderdan. BTW, I've heard that MUA 2 was in the works. I think it was on IGN or some other gamer article.

I think the only lego character Marvel has is with Spiderman. Though they do have alot of MegaBloks (SP?) characters.

O, Where to start?
To start, i think Deadpool needs a little time in the limelight, so he pretty much needs a game.. and poor Captain America needs a game and a movie made for him aswell, the poor guy serves are country and all you can do for the guy is kill him off.

O and on a brief, but important, note you guys have to get Marvel fighting game back in the works, the trailer for it was way to AMAZING to can it like that

Alot of people in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance section of the Marvel Boards have been wishing for the inclusion of She-Hulk, Moonknight, and Hulk to name a few. Personally, I been wanting to see Green Goblin, Dock Ock, Kraven, and even Sandman included in the upcoming sequal.

akabenrielly1985 u dead on. The psone spidey games were the sh*t. Especially the first one with Doc OC. The movie based spideys have been meh compared the psone series.

For a new IP..hmmm...a S.H.I.E.L.D. tact shooter with a marvel twist wouldnt be bad. Would actually like to see more games using Bishop, Cable, Havoc, X-Factor, and X-Force as playable characters. Thats just me. Now the Civil War idea sounds good. Choose a side and run from there. I was thinking an action game based around the Onslaught series might not be a bad idea either. Ah F it. Just drop MUA 2 already.

While its great to look towards Marvel's future, I have fond memories of some of the Spider-Man games of the early 90's. In particular, SEGA made several great Marvel games. I would love for Sega to put out a compilation of their Marvel titles, that would consist of:

-Spider-Man (Genesis)
-Spider-Man Vs. the Kingpin (Sega CD)
-Spider-Man: The Arcade Game
-Spider-Man: Web of Fire (32x)
-X-Men (Genesis)

1) Marvel Universe Online - I was sooo pumped on this and you guys let Microsoft ruin it - go cut a deal directly with NCSoft -- Champions Online will be cool but Marvel would have been cooler
2) Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - again, the first one rocked - let's see a sequel!
3) X-Men Legends 3 - who can't get enough of X-Men multiplayer action!
4) Captain America and/or a focused game around the Avengers like X-Men Legends -- base it on the new Skrull Invasion series - that would rock! (or have the Kree make another come back?)
5) A super-hero vs super-villain PvP team game using arena formats common to Halo or Star Wars Battlefront - that would be cool too

Elektra Idea
My fiancee actually came up with a game idea I wanted to share. I was explaining the Tenchu, Wolverine, and Hitman theme to her and she said: "You know what would be great? An Elektra game like that!"

Honestly, as long as you made it an incredibly playeable game in the realm of Tenchu or God of War, I think it'd be a hit. Just don't cheap it out and put Elektra's skin on some other character/engine to HAVE an Elektra game. I'm sure there'd even be some way to heavily lean it toward women, which is a burgeoning section of the game market.

Future Marvel Game Idea
For a future Marvel game, it would be nice to use the environment more often. For example: Jean Grey or Magneto and throws big and large items at the same time. Also, I'd want the gameplay to be similar to Marvel Nemesis:Rise of Imperfects and Super Smash Brothers (Nintendo) with much more GROUSOME finishers. What I mostly want for a future Marvel game is for Jean Grey/Phoenix to have her powers be distructive to environment and have items fly around, hitting opponents. I want her powers to be cool as the one in the movie "X-men: The Last Stand".

The Imperfects from "Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects" should have their own game for the continuation of their story. The gameplay should be like Marvel Ultimate Alliance with more environmental use, like from Marvel Nemesis and finishers too.

Changing Forms and other suggestions about fu
Jean Grey should be able to change her form to Marvel Girl, Phoenix, Dark Phoenix, White Phoenix, and all her other forms. The forms should be changed depending on a rage bar or some kind super bar. It should happen during gameplay and should happen to all the characters who have multiple forms of themselves. For example, Angel to Archangel; Psylocke with a psionic dagger to a psionic katana; Spiderman's multiple forms, and etc. (You should get the idea.) The game play should be like Marvel Nemesis and Marvel Ultimate Alliance put together. Meaning that there should be finishers to not only against one opponent but multiple opponents as well.

MUA2 but....
MUA2 but add more heroes. A LOT more heroes! MUA is my favorite console game EVER! I only had 2 problems with it. 1) Not enough heroes to choose from and 2) Not enough difference in power among the heroes. I mean I played with Thor and he wasn't that much more powerful than a lot of the weaker characters. Some of the baddies were taking just as many hits from Thor as from say Cap or Elektra. Thor, Thing, and Silver Surfer should have been WAY more powerful in h2h combat! Also a fully destructible environment would be cool! Say Thor throws Mjolnir and misses his target. Mjolnir should knock down a wall or at least knock a huge hole in it before returning to Thor's hand.

Also I would like to see a Thor game. With all his powers ie. super strength, flight, god blast, storm summoning, lightning calling, energy absorption into Mjolnir and energy blasts, and Warrior's Madness (used as a benefit, not a hindrance). This should be the Thor from the Walt Simonson days or perhaps the new Thor. Gotta love the way he put Iron Man in his place. :) I'm of the thought that uber powerful heroes are NOT boring. In MUA I would have loved to be able to just wade through the hordes of baddies taking them out with 1 hit with Mjolnir the way it should have been portrayed. I mean there are tons of weaker characters to choose from if you don't want the uber powerful characters. Ie. Hulk, Thor, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, etc.

Black Panther
I think a Black Panther Video game would be great, one there is not a lot of African American heroes in the comics and this one is a really cool hero for African Americans, also there is no real video game hero for African Americans, I actually cannot think of one. So this would be a great hero to break that barrier, it would be interesting as a Assassin Creed game, where Black panther could crawl and climb around the city of new york hunting his enemies and also have some of it in Africa so the player can see what Black Panthers world looks like in Africa. If put together well this game would be fun.

i agree with daredevil, captain americia, and silver surfer but would if we make a marvel video game that had every charecter and it was free roaming?! that would be freakin' awsome! you could play with any charecter you wanted, go free roaming, battle other marvel charecters, or play they're life story? imagine being the hulk running around destroying anything, or be the silver surfer and fly to another planet, plus it was multiplayer! i know they've had marvel nemises and MUA but if it was free roaming and it had extras and costumes and different universes like marvel zombies, house of M, or what if...? plus you could change the look from 1st person to 3rd person. in my opinion it would be hard but it would be totally worth it. you could even choose your team like x-men or fantastic four or even create your own team with any amount of heros you want!

Why don't you guys think about making a game based on a female...I prefer Jean Grey/Phoenix{The Phoenix Legacy} or Storm{I Dont Know A Name for her game} but seriously think about it and the playable character is Jean/Phoenix and you guys just throw in a story line...let there be a "FREEDOM MODE" When you get to Fly/run around the NewYork/X-Mansion as Jean/Phoenix either in Hero mode{Jean/Phoenix} or Destruction mode{Dark Phoenix} Just make it fun I'm really A phoenix fan bos are not the only ones that like marvel...
