Here's Some Art.
2008-07-22 11:53:57
PATRICK SCHERBERGER is one of my favorite artists working in comics today. He’s done GENEXT, AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE, MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN. He’s great. And he’s fast, too! He draws well over a page a week! The man’s capable of finishing over THREE issues per year!!!!!!
(I know, I’m amazed too)
Anyway, he likes to send me awesome pieces of art that he’s taken FOREVER to draw.
And here’s one of them. It’s a page from X-MEN: FIRST CLASS #16. I’ve also included a page with the old-school BEETLE! (man, that old-school Beetle armor was awesome)

Hrrrmmm...what else can I show...oh! Here's s a couple pages from HERCULES #121, by Clayton Henry (that guy's good, and a sterling conversationalist).
And a sweet page from SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE #2 by Craig Rousseau, colored by Guillem Mari...a Thor vs. Rulk (Loeb wants to call him Rulk now...) page from HULK #5 by Ed Mcg, Mark Farmer and Jason Keith...the cover to the Franklin Richards special coming out in November (SONS OF GENIUSES)...some MINI MARVEL pencils by Chris G...

Ok, that's enough.
Stayed tuned for tomorrow! There's a new series of blogposts coming up that have to do with football. (they've GOT to be about football, otherwise I won't care enough to keep posting)

Has Liz Allan dyed her hair? I can see how Terry Moore might want to distinguish her more from Gwen, but she always had blond hair in ASM.

About this blog:
By day, he’s a mild-mannered comic book editor! By night, he’s an obsessive sports fan! By early morning, he drinks coffee and then runs! He’s Nathan Cosby, and he has thoughts about things. This is them.

About the author:
When Associate Editor Nathan Cosby is not thinking about football, he edits Marvel’s All-Ages books, including the Marvel Adventures line (Spidey, FF, Avengers, Super Heroes), X-Men and Wolverine First Class, Franklin Richards, Mini Marvels, and Power Pack, works on the Marvel Illustrated and Stephen King books, does the Custom Comics, and runs Super Hero Squad. There’s like 20 other things he does, but he’s bored with typing this.
