The Winner...moral_d
2008-09-30 12:00:58
No doubt about it moral_d wins. Your editor loves song parodies....and "Summer Lovin'".

(Personal note: If you were in the Vista, California area in 1985 then you'll know how Doody was supposed to be played.)

Brennan will write you a poem with 5 words of your choosing (keep it clean).

-SW
Congrats Moral_D
I wonder what the poem will be.

What will the next blog be?

Congrats to moral_d!
Making us Anti-OMD/BNDers proud. Funny enough, I had an idea for a song for OMD/BND (to the theme of the Spidey 60's Song) prior to this. Maybe I'll stick it up on Fanfiction some point.

I rock
Thanks everyone, I appreciate anything that gives credence to my theory that work should never be spent working.

It was weird when I came on this morning my post was gone and I thought I was deleted or something, now I log back in and I won. That's awesome.

While I'm not a fan of current Spider-Man; I've got to say that Steve, Tom and all the guys of the braintrust have handled the aftermath of OMD probably better than any group of people could have and poking fun like this proves that.

for the poem
afraid I really only go to cali to pass on through to mexico, I love me my fajitas.

Now let's see for my five words.....hmm.....

1. orange (just cause nothing really rhymes with orange)
2. faust (pretty obvious)
3. moraldrocks (yes that's one word)
4. wacker (either the name or the verb your choice)
5. parsnip (the thinking man's carrot)

HA HA YEAH FUN AND GAMES
Not taking anything away from the song it was masterful and its point is valid, but lets not make to light of the situation. BND is a mess readers are falling left and right and blogs such as these are borderline disrespectful. I want to keep my cool and be respectful but sometimes you guys just make it hard. Please take us seriously we buy your books we have bought them for a long time. I dont buy as much as i did pre BND and after this last blog buy even less if it wasnt for the moon knight book being exceptional right now i would be completely gone.

lighten up
i wish people would chill about bnd. you really think a deal with the devil can't be undone in the marvel universe? with spidey being friends with people like dr strange? just enjoy the ride for what its worth and stop acting like the good people at marvel owe you anything.

Posted by lateralusapc on 2008-09-30 18:25:40
I would enjoy the ride but...
This was labeled the "New Status Quo." Not a wait and see quo. The two page spread by JRJR was a pretty solid statement that this is what ASM is now after BND.

Besides, what harm is done by posting messages on a blog at our leisure?

Publish both in '09 and let us vote in '08

Spideys identity
Did you change history, or do a MASSIVE memory wipe?

Posted by InnerVenom123 on 2008-09-30 21:47:56
spiderFAN1984 : By disrespectful do you mean that Marvel refuses to cave in to a tiny minority?

If you dont like the Spider-man changes that is fine, but going onto blogs like this and trying to get upset on purpose is silly, the world doesnt stop because you dont like a comic, there is no reason other people cant have fun or be in a good mood

spiderfan1984: Yeah, man you're so totally right. Look how angry the all the other posters are. Quotes like, "I've got to say that Steve, Tom and all the guys of the braintrust have handled the aftermath of OMD probably better than any group of people could have and poking fun like this proves that." totally prove how seething with rage he is that he is being mocked. Deadpool1977 looks equally ticked. How does it feel to be SO RIGHT Spiderfan?

Sarcasm aside, congrats moral_D that was a great poem.

Congrats to moral_D for winning!

Yes, we can laugh about why we don't like the retcon. We shouldn't scold each other for laughing about it.

The retcon is still bad, and we shouldn't scold each other for saying that, either.

And to the folks who keep saying, "Stop getting so upset about a comic book!"... Well, it's true everybody needs a sense of real world perspective, but at the end of the day, this is a comic book discussion website. What else should we be discussing here? Mideast politics?

Come on...
Could the collective internet community please grow a sense of humor? Don't listen to those whining, Wacker. They probably aren't even buying the book. Just keep listening to the many fans who love the new direction, and can't wait to get a hold of three issues a month.

There should be a female "Cheetah".
She comes out of the "Wonder Woman" and "Power Girl" interactions.

???

She is not posted on the search engine. They only post the proto-husk male clone known as "Cheetah".???
