Retreat's all over--and I've spent the last two hours digging out the rubble of my office. Things tend to pile up when I'm not around to deal with them, especialy with holidays coming up both in Canada and the U.S. I've still got two CIVIL WAR tie-in books to read out overnight.

So I just wanted to say that I haven't forgotten you all, and I should be back with more content-filled posts tomorrow. Bendis tells me that there's been a ton of discussion over on his Jinxworld boards about the columns on Continuity and Scheduling, so my goal now is to see if I can split his boards in half. Seems only appropriate.

More tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm a poster there and it's funny to see so many people talking about how some things in some issues are messed up and that you guys should make an official list or timeline thing that explains what issue happens first even when they come out at different weeks. It would really help, ya kno.

Timeline
I still agree with what you, Tom, were saying earlier about continuity just being a tool for story telling and not the rule or law. The only thing I really care about with continuity is the major events-did the story happen pre or post House of M or pre or post Civil War-stuff like that. The rest just falls were it lies as long as it's a good story.
And I would rather the artists and editors work on making good stories (which they have been) then taking up time to figure out how the whole timeline of everything fits together.

continuity, damn continuity, and nitpickers!
I love it when the whole story makes sense just as much as the next guy, but if everything made sense how would I ever win a coveted no-prize! ... Hey! Can we win no-prizes here! I mean hero points.. YAY! but No-Priize... (homer drool) No-Prize...
