This is my fiftieth blog post.

People sometimes ask how I can edit so many comic books every month. This blog shows how: just get it done, do exactly as much as needs to be done and no more, and don't worry about trying to make everything perfect; there are no perfect comic books.

Another ART AVALANCHE follows.

More next week.

Getter Done!
We have a saying round the middle of the USA, (from whence I came) ...

GETTER DONE! Tom - I can see ya know what that hicktalk mean.

The Tide
I read in spurts. I just recently finished Thunderbolts 100-103. I was amazed on #100 that so many artists worked on it. It was a great way to compare them.

Sounds like a mammoth job, but like any profession, you won't be good if you are just a nine to five guy.

Keep up the good work. I am diggin' the Civil War stuff.

CAP vs DOC DOOM
In Bucky's post down below I've noticed a consensus that DD could defeat Cap straight up unless it was a battle of wits. WTF, are we forgetting Cap is almost always out muscled but wins anyway. He's fought Namor, Hulk, the Wrecking Crew, Ironman, Korvac, and countless other more powerful enemies. Cap could hold his own against Doc Doom.

~?~
Who is the X-man on the last page along with Cyclops and Emma? Also, has it been established when this takes place in current continuity? I'm assumming that this issue was before Civil War and the current events in Ast X-men.

Did the 12 issue "Enemy of the State" arc happen before Wolverine joined the Avengers or after?

Wolverine Playing Poker
is wolverine playing cards. i was rereading the latest THING run. and in issue 1, Grimm refers to Logan as the best poker player he's ever seen. and in other books iv read characters hav said similar. i play poker often and i can picture that being true. id love to see a stand alone ish of wolverine revolving around a poker table. with logan winning of course. tho hopefully every1 here wudnt go crazy about wolverine being too powerfull for out bluffing Stark.

Wolverine as Death
Okay, if ONLY his brain survived Nitro Exploding and reducing him to JUST a skeleton(impossible to say the least, but let's assume it did, for the sake of argument), then how did he know what Nitro said in his phone call? Being ironical, Wolverne popped his three claws, and said "this is my idea of a hate trick." RIGHT before that, when Wolvie was all bones, meaning no ears, Nitro was on the phone bragging that his accomplishments (killing Captain Marvel, the New Warriors, and Wolverine) constituted a hat trick. Let's say he DID survive, based solely on his brain not getting burned (that's B.S., but we'll assume it's possible). How did he hear Nitro saying that? Check the page where Wolvie comes back and says, this is what I call a Hat Trick. He COULD NOT have heard that; he had no ears! Ugh.

At first, I was nuetral to the unmasking, but after listening to the marvel podcast I have chosen side. Not only is this too dangerous to anyone who has known him, but I think it threatens his character

My main point: Without a secret identitiy, why wear a costume? As supficial as this may sound, the costume is part of what makes the character. Can you picture him just going around wearing jeans and a t-shirt all of the time, no more costume. What's he going to wear tights for no reason? To lose the costume forever would be like making blue Superman/red Superman the new norm. It would ruin the iconic character that is Spider-Man. But with no identity to protect, it would be just pointless to go around in tights everywhere you go.

Did Aunt May have a child?
Did Aunt May have a child? If so, in which comic issue was that told?

What rules?
What rules? What the Hell did Norman mean by that? I don't recall Pete ever making a deal with him. And when did he end up back in the slammer? Or SHIELD's custody? Or whatever.

Civil War 3 Page
That Civil War 3 art with Black Panter, and Reed is killing me! What could they be talking about?
