Server problems have left us without access to our e-mail accounts, internet, or even our in-house printers, so work today has slowed to a crawl. I'm not even quite sure when this blog entry is going to be able to be posted. So we've been spending most of our efforts today in "bookkeeping"--things that don't involve a digital component.

It's also a scorching hot day in New York City, which didn't prevent a large contingent of Marvel staffers from pilgrimaging down to the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park for tasty burgers and cheese fries.

I've got plenty of stuff to catch up on, but no way to actually access the necessary materials. It's unforseen catastrophes like this one that can play havoc with an already-tight shipping schedule. (Matt Brady is waiting for my replies for this week's CIVIL WAR ROOM feature--but I can't get to the questions at the moment.)

More later.

Good luck getting back on your feet, Marvel!

You guys have no idea how frequently my computer doesn't work. But still, that's gotta be rough. Mm, cheesy fries.

why is he still chasing nitro?
Don't let wolverine melt.

Have you read the civil war episode yet?

Logan is pissed at Nitro.

There is a reboot at the end if you miss it.

Anyone find Scott yet?

Excalibur
Border's won't show me a excalibur sheet.

Got everything else but they hold out on that so i assume the problem is they cannot find someone and wish to hold up the bet?

Has anyone checked the new tags for karma?

Ultimates...
Does this mean that the Ultimates will be delayed another 3 months? I have to say, that Mark Miller is killing me, he is an a m a z i n g writer, and i really cant get enough of his work. Also, I find that the word is that Cap is getting popular in the comic fan world becuase of his "attitude" in Cival War... but you know, I have been following Captian America sinse 9/11 when cassiday did the art work and i have to say, he has always had attitude... even when reading some of the earlier 90's stuff, Cap has been, and always will be a bad a$$.
Peace, and keep up the fantastic work at Marvel, i have been reading you guys sinse 1989 and I still love every comic you guys put out... even Howard Mack and his Spiderman clone saga.... i still dont think i fully understood the storyline...
That reminds me... what happened to Spider Mans daughter?!?!?!?

Macs & PCs
We use both, anyone that needs to use Adobe programs get a Mac, everyone else a PC. Most of editorial has PCs. I have a Mac, thank God. I love Macs!!!!

The Spirit
I'm sure I'm really late in seeing this but I just saw on Yahoo this morning that Frank Miller is going to write and direct The Spirit. He is finishing work on Sin City 2 and will announce the project in San Diego this weekend. Should be very cool!!!

Mac lovin'
Macs are the BEST!!

I have to use a crusty old PC at work but I have a beautiful G5 at home...

Only annoying thing is at work I keep going to press "apple"+"w" to close windows, only to remember that "alt"+"w" does absolutely nothing at all...

Who do I thank?
Who do I thank? Or congratulate? Or commend? Or whatever the verb is?

Of course, Civil War #3 melted my brain. It was amazing. Why wouldn't it be?

BUT. Jack Kirby's Galactic Bounty Hunters was probably the coolest book I read this week. So very cool. I have been totally rocking out to the Jack Kirby goodness lately, picking up back issues of "2001: a space odyssey" and the 80's reprints of "New Gods", and re-reading all my old FF Masterworks stuff... and this was great.

LONG LIVE THE KING!
