Just because I'm feeling snarky about all of the nasty comments I keep seeing online about the four-page "war correspondence" stories that Paul jenkins and assorted artists have been running in CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE, I thought I'd share the following letter with everybody:
Civil War crew,
Props to Paul Jenkins and all of you on a great series. Front Line has added heart and depth to the Marvel Universe's Civil War story, including its historical underpinnings and commentary on our present. It was a special moment when I turned to those last few pages of issue 6 and recognized John Gillespie Magee's High Flight. It's a poem that stuck with me years after being drilled to memorize it as a Cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Magee was an American serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force when he wrote it, but I don't doubt that the poem is loved by aviators and astronauts around the world.
Thanks for your continued dedication to quality storytelling.

Civil War: Front Line is Relevant! I haven't heard or read about any criticisms regarding Civil War: Front Line personally. Which is good, cause I'm really enjoying all 4 storylines. Great art and writing! I, too, really liked the John Magee historical reflection and Civil War parallel. Just remember, Tom, that for all the detractors, there are supporters. And I'm one of them!--AJW, Canada.
