Running behind today after yesterday's editorial conference, so this next entry is going to be short and sweet.
Once Marcos has a layout that we're all happy with, he proceeds to pencil and ink the pages. On DR. STRANGE THE OATH he's been mostly doing both disciplines by himself, but the first issue was inked by Alvaro Lopez. But in any case, there aren't any copies of the penciled pages, so we have to go straight to the inks.
Thereafter, Brian goes back into his script to do one final polish, making sure that the dialogue that's on the page synchs up with the visuals that Marcos has drawn. He also checks to make sure that all of the key story elements are coming across at this point. And he does balloon placements--a guide to where the letterer should position the lettering on the final pages.
More later.
