After two days of pseudo-rest, watching the latest episode of Doctor Who from England and far, far too much background material on Superman Returns (not to mention answering CIVIL WAR questions over at Comic Book Resources), it's time to pull the focus back to the Marvel Universe and begin another week.

And what's waiting for me this morning as I roll into the office? Marko Djurdjevic's painted cover to BLADE #2, in which the vampire hunter makes a stop-over in Latveria. I'm sure most people are just a little bit skeptical about this new BLADE series, as we haven't had much success with the character in comics over the last few years. But I think anybody that samples the series will be surprised. Still can't tell you the name of the artist yet (there's supposed to be an announcement at the afforementioned CBR at some point), but I can share the newly-arrived #2 cover with you.

Just got handed a stack of advance copies of stuff shipping from our office on Wednesday, including IRON MAN #9 (Execute Program part 3!), CAPTAIN AMERICA #19 (Union Jack!), LAST PLANET STANDING #4 (The Silver Surfer!) and NOVA #3 (Quasar!). Pretty good range of material.

Gonna try to write something sensible about editing later; maybe reply to one of the questions that's been posted earlier.

More later.

LAST PLANET STANDING has been awesome! I can't wait to get each issue. And of course CAPTAIN AMERICA has been friggin amazing! I cant' wait to get my hands on these this week. :)

Nick Fury in Iron Man?
So I've got a question about the current Iron Man story arc and Nick Fury's involvement. So the Secret War took place before the New Avengers were formed and Nick was already in hidding and he is still in hidding by the time Civil War starts. Then the Execute Program story in Iron Man seems to take place after the New Avengers are formed, because the make an appearence, but before Civil War has started and we see Nick in his SHIELD offices running the show. How does this all fit together?
