quick question for you Mark...
When I first read nicholas cage was going to be casted as ghost-rider in the movie, I laughed and said this should be like bringing a gun to a cannon fight! but now I realize he's perfect for the part... and I was wondering if you had any of my doubts at first, about casting Nick?

Darth Maul
Originally, the Johnny Blaze incarnation did not have the Penance stare. He used hellfire to burn his victim's souls, causing them to feel all the pain and suffering they had ever inflicted.
Danny Ketch's powers were actually quite different, with the stare, his chain and what-not. Recently, however, Johnny Blaze has become the Ghost Rider again, and is starting to manifest many of the same abilities as Ketch. Whether or not Blaze is sharing an existence with Zarathos (the demon who was the first Ghost Rider) or some other being has yet to be revealed. Pick up the Daniel Way issues, as they are really quite good. Way seems to be combining the best elements of the Blaze and Ketch Riders. The story incorporates past plot threads, but doesn't get so bogged down that new readers can't follow. To me, it is a great return to the classic Marvel style of respecting continuity, but also being accesible to newbies.
Hope that helped!

Movie versus comic
I have been loyal to GR from 70's thru 90's issues Holding more than 80% of all the issues in my collection. My first reaction to hearing of a GR film was naturally that it was about time, but upon hearing and seeing the toy-line I am nearly appauled. First big Rant is Caretaker, In the Dan K. series he was a Man with special hellfire capabilities now he's a GR knock-off that is B.S. who ever wrote that in all my honesty should start thinking about what loyalist might think about that. Next Cage as GR, I personally would have rather seen him play a long-haired trenchcoat wearing version of Blaze. I guess I am more a less just riled that they can make a movie using the newer story line, than utilizing there imagination and combine all three versions (using characters such as Roxy, Dan, Even Zarathos, Lilith, and Centurios). If the ever make a Follow up the writers and directors should try considering these points to create a Greater story-line.

What ever happened...?
What ever happened to Namor? I'd like to see Jude Law play him. He has the look. He'd need to get buffed, tho'.
Also, I hear thru the grapevine Tyrese is going to play Powerman.
