Here is a new question
I have a bit of a wishlist of trades that I'd like to see (I love the essential titles) So is Marvel ever considering the following:
- More Howard the Duck, Defenders & Spider-Woman trades?
- An essential title that reprints (chronologically) limited series that were printed from the 70's & 80's that would never be part of the Essential books (IE the Wolverine & Kitty limited series, Wolverine Limited Series, Vision & Scalet Witch, Marvel Super-Heros, Marvel Comics Presents etc.)
- Any plans on printing the non-marvel univese stories that were featured in Strange Tales, Journey into Mystery and the like?
- Seven words: Secret Wars Two Trade Paper Back. When?

hey nausiated
The trades department will be starting a blog soon, and you can ask them directly. keep checking back on the main blog page...

I asked this in another blog by mistake, but I'm guessing this is where I should have asked. Do you know if the X-Men 1990 cartoon series is going to be released on DVD any time soon, I mean isn't it way past due? Fantastic Four and Spider-Man have cartoon DVD sets. ... >o>;; ..... I really hope so......please say yes.....humor me. Lol. :o)

Hero points
Hi Peter,
First I want to say you've been doing a terrific job. Marvel.com has improved greatly over the last year or so and keeps getting better.
My question is about hero points. Next to my login name is a little notice saying I have zero (0) hero points. This makes me feel inadequate. How do I earn hero points? I'm pretty sure I earned beaucoup hero points in the old James Bond roleplaying game. Are they transferrable?
Thanks!

hero points
Hero Points here won't help you on a 1d20 saving throw against Jaws, so the transfer won't really help.
Currently you can earn hero points by posting in the Marvel Universe and getting your post approved. As you earn more points, you can gain extra priveleges there. We'll be expanding the program as we add features to the site as well.

Question
Can regular members here make thier own blog? Or at least like a mini-blog? Just wondering.
Posted by Bearpod91 on 2006-06-18 17:42:12
Do we not have a forum?
All I see is blogs, no regular forums?

Suggestion
Maybe a area where fans can put there ideas about future comics, either with existing comics or coming up with new ideas. And not just for comics but video games.
Also I know I may be out of line for saying this but how about making a fighting video game where DC and Marvel fight? I know this seems impossible but imagine seeing Captain America take on Superman or Wolverine take on Batman and Spider-man can beat anyone but it would be fun to see them come together on a Video Game. And also imagine all the bad guys too. It would of course have to be a great built game but for one time Marvel and DC come together. Imagine seeing Spiderman swing through Gotham or Metropolis. I am a major Marvel fan but I do like some of the other comics and it would be great to see the comic companies come together for one big video game series to combine all the possible superhero or villian fight. It can't happen in the comics or movies but could it happen for a video game. I know combining games together has always been good. And this would one big comic fans dream.

Feeds and archives
Are you going to put up news feeds for the individual blogs? A better archive system would also be a good idea - I had to click on each individual post to read Tom Brevoort's blog from the start. The blog front page is also a tad counter-intuitive; it would be much more helpful to have a list and links to all the blogs right there on the page, instead of having to click through to another page.
The blogs are a great idea, I'm looking forward to reading.

SUGGESTION
Bring back the threaded web. No, seriously. I miss reading user-created online stories.
Sure, there's plenty of them on other webpages, but having someone from Marvel read your story and then post it on the official Marvel page is a proud moment.
It's like the difference between going to a Japanese massage parlor and going to a Japanese massage parlor and having the massage girl walk out with you and shout on the streets of Tokyo: "This man has an elephant trunk".

and also
The ability to make paragraphs would be nice, to avoid the appearance of drunken ramblings and run-on thoughts.
Okay, maybe that wouldn't change, but I have a dream that, after reading my thoughts, you will all declare to the world: "Sure, he sounds like a drunk with run-on thoughts, but that chap has a mastery of the King's English like no other!"
So how 'bout it?

Hi Peter,
Your blog is great. You guys really seem to be working at making this more of an online community (and it's pretty darn cool!) Will we be able to choose avatars soon?
If so, I want Spider-Ham!

Marvel DVD's
Will there be a region 2 release of the new avengers movie dvd & complete box sets of old & new marvel cartoons! Region 2 marvel fans have only had the new spider-man series as a full collection, while the other animated shows have been given the random 4 episode treatment! I'm also surprised to find even region 1 is yet to produce box sets of the 90's classic spidey, x-men, fantastic four, iron man & hulk shows!

where did it go?
CIVIL WAR got me thinking and I wanted to share my ideas with Marveldom. So I looked for the Marvel Forum to post in. No Forum. Instead there were blogs. O-Kaaay.
So I posted in one of the comics blogs. I saw the post. I remembered something else and tried to write a second post but suddenly I had to sign back in. I did that and sent the post in but it didn't show up. Instead of waiting for the page to refresh, I went to another blog page and wrote a third post on a different subject and had to sign-in a THIRD TIME. grrrr.
Anyway, I come back to see if anyone responded to my posts and the first one -- the only one I actually saw posted on the blog page -- is missing. Wha happen?
Posted by spyder77 on 2006-07-15 03:11:08
?????????
Right after posting the above, I went back to the blog. My original "missing" post was there -- in a different spot. I know I didn't overlook it because it's in a colored box now. What's going on?

Stupid Question
Is Luke Cage's old friend Stryker, the same guy as the bad guy from X-men 2, the movie?
Posted by 1gunsnroses1 on 2006-07-20 21:37:25
Please tell me... thatīs not true
CIVIL WAR..... I love it!!!!!!, Mark Millar itīs an excellent writer, but.... well I donīt now itīs something that I read a few hours ago... so I looked for the Marvel Forum, email or something to post in. No forum, no email... instead there were blogs.
Itīs true that Iron Man and Reed Richards would be Skrulls???, The New Warriors who died in the first AWESOME issue of Marvel Civil War are actually Skrull impersonators????? And that Tony Stark has engineered the entire Civil War in order to get the all the Skrulls currently impersonating superheroes?????? Please, please donīt do that, it will kill the whole event!!!!!!! would be a shame that all the CIVIL WAR plot is actually a Skrull plan?!!!!!
I love the political allegory in the book that makes comics grow up, character and scripts evolve in something more... Those books shows how forced registration of persons would spark a civil liberties controversy, and thatīs great!!!! some people (and not only comic book fans) see this as a reflection of the real world and thatīs the main difference with others superheroesīs comic books..... so that you tell me that all this CONFLICT itīs a Skrull plot???
Really..... I hope be wrong and please donīt do it.
Take it easy guys...

Will Marvel ever relaunch the Ultraverse line? I wish the Current Exiles team could meet the Ultraverse Exiles! Also any plans to relaunch the Marvel UK titles? The return of Dark Guard or The Knights of Pendragon would be most appreciated!
