…there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Peter unmasks…

...and the villains come crawling out of the woodwork.

Here’s some gorgeous art from Angel Medina, Scott Hanna, and Dan Kemp.

Sensational Spider-Man # 29 is on-sale 8/16
Argh
All of you at Marvel are making it really hard on me and my poor paycheck. Amazing Spider-Man is more than enough to give me my fix on what's happening with Parker because of the events in Civil War... and yet you feel it necessary to throw just a little more out there, don't you? Y-you couldn't just wait a little while for reprecussions, huh? Just had to really make us FEEL the turmoil he's going through.

In all seriousness though, I'm really excited. I was brought into Marvel with Whedon's Astonishing, pulled in a little bit deeper with House of M (I bought the Avengers: Disassembled trade to catch up a bit... Thor: Disassembled was excellent as well), and then things just kept on exploding left and right. Fellas, until Spidey starts catching an uptown bus to a fight... make mine Marvel.

Green Gobby
My mind just races when I think about what the dialog would be.

Good ol' Norman
Green Goblin is the greatest villain of all time. This artwork is sick. Can't wait.

Good art
But I'm sticking to Amazing Spidey for the main spidey reactions. I got my plan down on what I'm buying so far and it's not changing. I also hear Front Line is going to show some good spidey villians in it as well.

Nice.
That is the kind of artwork that New Avengers 21 desperately needed. Great art is SO important to a good book.

Unmasked?
Everything looks great, yet I'm wondering how he's going to survive this unmasking, and more importantly how M.J. is going to survive.

Return of th the Goblin!!!
I have been waiting for the goblins return ever since he fell off that bridge, and i have to say Angel Medina's work REALLY brings him back to life as i had hoped he'd return .....ANGRY.
I can't wait to get my hands on "sensational Spider-Man # 29!!!

Why?
Why the unmasking? Not that I argue with it, I actually like the idea, but does anyone (who cares to share) why they did it?

Posted by slucas76 on 2006-07-13 11:26:43
the unmasking
There are so many Spidy villians who already know his identy. I always wondered why none of them blabed about it, anyway. I just don't see him going after the other supers. I don't think it's in his charictor.

Spidey Vs. Cap ???
No i can't see spidey duking it out with cap unless he does sumthing to truly deserve it (which he hasn't).

Posted by david andrews on 2006-07-13 20:41:36
Spide Vs. Cap
I think I can see it. I mean, spidey would be aprehensive, but Cap knows what he is fighting for and has already beaten down quite a few good soldiers. I mean, New Avengers #21 should show that Cap. knows that these are good soldiers and he hates to do it, but has to. He attacked Hank Pym as well, so I don't think it would be a stretch to think that Cap would take a swing at Spidey, and once the fight starts, who knows where it can end up.

Spider-Man Unmasked!
When I finished Civil War #2 I almost died. Spider-Man revealing his identity! It was crazy-but I loved it! I can't wait to see how JJJ and Flash Thompson (whatever happened to him anyway?) finds out.

Spidey Chaning his Side
I think it's pretty obvious that by the end of the Civil War series something will deeply affect Spider-Man (like a death of somebody...) and cause him to change his stance on the SHRA. I just hope it isn't some thing too depressing, like Aunt May dieing. I don't think I can handle that.....

Sorry, I like the current story lines. Things can't stay stagnant or there wouldn't be any point in reading them. Things have to change every so often.

Posted by great_incubus on 2006-07-18 16:39:33
dude i'm sorry
oh wait i'm not in fact u know wat an incubus is well thanks 2 this website's glossary go to marvel universe it is a male demonic creature that feeds off the essence of other living beings and the name of a rock band to me theses writers are incubus' cause they think that it is a good idea too scerw with probaly the best super hero ever u know wat they r wrong or mabye it is 4 the money wat ever it was i know that they took somthing good and made all digusting like how vegatarins think they all good and *$#$@$ when they r not oh and 1 more thing 4 anyone who don't like wat i say suck it,fuck it,and do it all nite long

Posted by tarhaun on 2006-07-18 22:18:35
Know what I hate...
Really long run on sentences.

Posted by great_incubus on 2006-07-19 15:44:16
spidey unmasked
i think that the shra is not right as the superheroes need automity. which means they are independant of government control. if this doesnt happen they become tools of the government. like in 24 season 5 when CTU merges with homeland it shows this isnt a good idea.

So i hope spidey fights on the side of cap and puts a stop to this as iron mans helmet is on too tight and stopping o2 from his brain. I think jj reaction will be priceless. i think the mu wont be the same after the civil war. YOu kno the villains are gonna exploit it.

Posted by punk_rocker on 2006-07-19 19:44:06
When it's all over
I'm just wondering how things will be once the Civil War is over. Are they planning on setting up some rivelries between the supers afterward? It's usually not like them to write themselves into a corner. I'm curious as to what they have in mind. Ironman's been up to some pretty shady stuff lately and I'm also curious as to where they're taking his charictor to.

Posted by great_incubus on 2006-07-19 20:25:48
now we are getting somwhere
inc u have a point i know that a new spider woman series is gonna start after cilvil war

Posted by tarhaun on 2006-07-20 03:37:04
looks good
I can't wait. I think Peter'll pay. If that happens, I hope he kicks Iron man's can......just cause I would like to see that.....cause spidey would win of course....

Posted by Flash T on 2006-07-21 13:26:14
remember his uniform
If Spidy went up against Ironman, Ironman'd probobly have some failsafe in Spidy's suit. Tony'd probobly hit some button and Spidy's whole suit'd probly fall off.

Posted by great_incubus on 2006-07-22 19:23:10
hey u are rite
that's y he gave it 2 him he did make the suit with his tech he made spidey weaker

Posted by tarhaun on 2006-07-23 07:33:23
a question 4 every one
even though this has nothin to do with spidey did mutants and dinosaurs exist in the bible

Posted by tarhaun on 2006-07-25 23:04:07
Unmasking?...crazy
Taking off his mask was probably the worst thing for Parker to do, which will probably lead to a "death in the family" so to speak.
and i think spiderman will end up switching sides to join Cap. before this war is over.

Posted by KGriffeyjr024 on 2006-07-26 00:34:58
griff24 answer my qustion
please

Posted by tarhaun on 2006-07-26 09:55:06
this can't be the end of the sensational spid
Even if Parker took of his mask and has to hang up his web shooters, the Marvel crew can still find a way to put in one of his clones in Parker's place, like Ben Reily did in "The Amazing Spider-Man" # 50!
