Hey Gang, This week, one of our many great trades is, HOUSE OF M: MASTERS OF EVIL. Now, when you hear the phrase, "MASTERS OF EVIL" I'm sure many names come to mind. Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, Venom, Loki, Mephisto, Mandarin, Ultron. Etc. The list goes on and on. However when you think of the phrase, "MASTERS OF TRADES" there can be only ONE answer.... The Marvel Trades Department! Week after week, Jeff Youngquist leads his team, Mark Beazley, Jen Grünwald, John Denning, Alex Starbuck, Spring Hoteling, Me, etc., in bringing out the best trades anywhere. PERIOD. We put out more trades in a week than lesser companies do all year! Take this week for example, we have: • THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: 24/7 • MARVEL 1602 • ESSENTIAL DAREDEVIL: VOL.5 • HOUSE OF M: MASTERS OF EVIL And those are just the paperbacks! We also have great hard covers, premier hard covers and Omnibuses! That's why Marvel Trades Department truly is the Masters of Trades! If you're a comic fan you'll never have to look anywhere else for the best comics in print! That's why I'll ALWAYS....MAKE MINE MARVEL!!!! See you next week, Nelson Ribeiro

Hey gang, Spider-man is already known for crushing all the competition in the publishing world but now he can add the motor sports world as well! As part of the 2010 Marvel Trades World Tour, Alex Starbuck and I attended Monster Jam Freestyle Mania at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY! Before the show, I actually got to walk around and see the Monster Trucks up close and talk to some of the drivers! The driver of the Spider-Man truck was so excited and was itching to put on a great show for the fans, and did he ever! The Spider-Man truck dominated the wheelie competition! He beat out trucks like Samson, Crazy Train, Rap Attack, Avenger and even the legendary Grave Digger! And living up to the Spider-man code of ethics he ran up into the crowd and gave his trophy away to one lucky fan! Not only was there monster truck action in every direction but there were also FMX, BMX and Freestyle quads and sports bikes all performing at the same time! They were doing flips and spins at least 50 feet off the ground! When I got home, I was still pumped! Luckily I had this week's Trades to read to keep the energy going!!! Here's what I read: •IRON MAN & THE ARMOR WARS •HULK VOL. 3: HULK NO MORE •STAR COMICS: ALL STAR COLLECTION VOL. 2 •IRON MAN: TALES OF THE GOLDEN AVENGER So there you have it! Alex Starbuck and I kicked of the 2010 Marvel Trades World Tour in a big way! So be on the look out because you never know where you'll see someone from the MIGHTY MARVEL TRADES DEPARTMENT in a town near you!!! See you Next week, Nelson Ribeiro (<----click on any image to enlarge it)

Fairy Tales...

Hey Gang, This week's blog is all about fairy tales! And let me tell you my favorite about a street urchin named Neli Baba. One day while scrounging for some food he came across a lamp and yadda yadda yadda a genie came out and said, "AH, little one I see you've come prepared to pay tribute to the Great Brain-O by growing a goatee in my honor! For that I shall grant you 3 wishes!" So Neli Baba said, "Man, I hate the morning commute to work I wish I had a faster way to get there." Then >POOF< he was floating aloft a magic carpet flying faster than the eye could see never having to deal with the West Side Highway again. "For my next wish I want a billion dollars!" >WHAZAM< Neli Baba's pockets filled with money along with a bank statement verifying his request! "You have one wish left little master make it count", the Great Brain-O chortled. Excitedly caught up in the moment Neli Baba replied, "Then for my last wish, I wish that the Marvel Trades were even better than they are now!" Instantly the carpet came to a screeching halt in midair and the Great Brain-O shouted, "WHAT?! How dare you! Look at this week's line up! There is: MARVEL FAIRY TALES, CAPTAIN AMERICA: ROAD TO REBORN, ULTIMATUM: REQUIEM, MARVEL DIVAS, DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, and SEIGE PRELUDE!" As the genie shouted the sky turned black opened up with roaring bolts of lightnig. The great Brain-O continued his wrath, "The Marvel Trades CAN'T get any better! It is impossible! And for wasting my gift of wishes I command that everything that was made be unmade!" >ZAZZZ< Neli Baba fell from the sky landing in a puff of smoke once again a street urchin. The moral of this story is You couldn't wish for better comics! Go out and get them today before they disappear like the Great Brain-O! I wish to see you all next week, Nelson Ribeiro (click on an image to enlarge it!)

Road trip to History

HEY GANG, A few months ago the MOST HISTORIC TEAM-UP OF ALL TIME happened here in the halls of MARVEL. SPIDER-MAN teamed up with PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA! That comic made headlines all over the world! That issue sold out so fast we had to go to print several times. Even then not everyone was able to get a copy. WELL NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! To celebrate that issue being collected in this week's Trades and to commemorate this momentous cover, Alex Starbuck and I took a road trip down to our Nation's capital so we could pay tribute to this historic event with a reenactment! And I'm sure you're all probably wondering, "Wow! That's a long drive what did you do that whole time?" Well, that was easy as one of us was driving the other had his nose deep in a trade! Here was our reading list (All which happen to be on sale this week!) Nelson list: • Spider-Man: Election Day • Dark Reign: Skrull Kill Krew • Dark Reign: The Sinister Spider-Man • Dark Reign: The Hood Alex's List: • Brian Michael Bendis: 10 Years at Marvel • Marvel Illustrated: The Odyssey • Ultimatum • Dark Reign: Young Avengers • Ultimate spider-Man vol. 22: Ultimatum See you next week (depending on traffic), Nelson Ribeiro *(click on an image to enlarge it)
