My First Time
2007-03-22 10:32:41

Ok ok, so after a couple days of grumbling, I'm finally here. My first blog. I'll probably do a lot of grumbling. It's what I do. That and making Mike's day as miserable as possible! heh heh

I'm not quite sure why blogs are so popular, or how to make them interesting, but I'll try.

Here's what I've been working on today. Aside from the covers to the News America custom comics that I think Beaz mentioned earlier, and of course a number of random other things, I've started putting together the best trade of the year: Women of Marvel!!! I'm very excited about this and I want to do another one next year so buy it. And buy extras. My favourite part about doing this book was getting Mike Mayhew to paint the cover! Originally I was just going to have him draw it and then get it coloured, but he really liked the idea and asked to paint it! I definitely did NOT want to pass that up. I'll put it up here so you can see (if you haven't seen it in Marvel Previews already). He did an INCREDIBLE job. And he's a really nice guy so make sure to say hi to him if you see him at any of the conventions! And anyone who knows me will not be surprised to see Rogue on there. She's my favourite. She's all OVER my office. Jeff Youngquist just LOVES that. (On a side note, when working on Marvel Spotlight I was pleased to find out that Olivier Coipel loves Rogue too! No wonder she looks so awesome in House of M!)

So, that's it for now. I'll try to do this again, but now I'm going to a Mets game. Because they're great.

Rogue is totally awesome
Rogue is awesome. I love the fact that shes posted all over your office. What about her attracts you to her? I just love the fact that shes so independant, and strong willed, but such a sweet heart. Its not really because of her powers, I just love the way she presents herself and deals with people. She is so well rounded.

hey tarhaun
No - Rogue is the name of a character, rouge is a shade of red.

Rogue is my favourite
I did not misspell 'favourite,' I spelled it the British way. I'm a bit of an anglophile. But YOU did spell Rogue wrong, as Mike Short was kind enough to point out above.

Essential Ms Marvel
Is this on the horizon anytime soon? Especially with her ongoing doing so well! The entire run could fit in a volume!

Rouge is my favorite, too!
Really, rouge is underestimated. Nothing is better when you want to appear healthy to the audience members in the back row sitting 400 feet away from you. Without rouge, pasty folk such as myself would appear onstage as glowing white spots.

Oh, and Rogue is cool, too.

I'm glad to see that Jen went the full monty with the British spelling; you'll notice that she broke out the "ou" for "coloured" as well. But does she keep on skedule or on shedule?
