keep in mind the script is more important than a faded skull.
the pic could be better. but I just want to see if the script lives up to it's
Reputation about the punisher being tuff.
and I know some people don't like microchip but keep in mind.
he's kind of like James bond's Q that make some cool weapons.
the last 2 movies had the drunk in the "Dolph" punisher.
and in "punisher in Miami" those 2 geeks in the last one that were totally useless.
I seen the alexander interview listed below
wizzarduniverse.com
it got nuked on this site though?
but lexi talk about the movie the article is dated Dec 7.
so it is new.

I'm just reacting to the interview, I have no clue about the punisher in miami thing. first time I read MAX i was amazed that the punisher was pitch perfect. UP is down Black Is White blew me away. this whole "we're sticking to the MAX series" but the first production still is him yelling "BAAAAW" while shooting a gun isn't exactly that.
As far as the script goes, Jane walked away because of it... that gives a statement. and the Faded skull, it's not "faded" it's invisible. that Skull is a symbol. it's target is to strike fear in to the criminal mind because of what punisher represents.not exactly fantastic when you can barely see it. makes this look like it has barely anything to do with the comics.

That Wizarduniverse link is still available for viewing in the beginning post of this thread. I nuked it so as to link all responses to that interview with the existing Punisher War Zone discussion rather than have multiple threads discussing the same topic.

well read that post on this board. wizard.com the lexi interview.
it is supose to be be like the MAX series execpt for micro-chip.
and the Thomas Jane thing he left becuase he wanted the control that's why he never came back when lionsgate tried to get him back.
the script was change since he left.
one of the writers "kurt Sutter" who writes the "Sheild" said they tried to work with Jane but he left.
But, I will agree with you on the skull part but, if the scipt is good I'm happy. the "punisher in miami" I thought the movie was only good for the last 20 minutes.and his skull was faded. and some people thought it was great.

I've read the interview, my initial post was a response to it.
as far as micro goes. he was in the first arc of the MAX series. if they're going to cram THAT in to the movie it's going to be bloody awful.
no history, an average story would be "I met him in one of my units" instead of it going the way it went and the way it went down in the book was great.
What is Punisher MAX? How is it different from normanl punisher comics?

it is the "adult" version of the punisher and it is so ridiculously good it's scary. the writing and the art are amazing through the first 49 issues, then the art drops on 50 but comes back on 51&52. the stories are solid, really great. one of the best marvel books out there at the moment.

Wow, sounds great. I think I might check it out. Are there any particualr issues you would recommend?

yeah f300 is right.
I've been a punisher fan for over 23 years. I to read the old "punisher"
"punisher warjournel (the one in the earlt 90's) & WARZONE all done in the 80's and 90's.
the MAX is definatley more adult. not to many super hero's here.
the "punisher warjournel" is close to the clasic punisher.
I've got a few of the issues Max here and there.
but most younger guys have them all!
also have "from first to last"
garth ennis dosen't care much in his punisher fighting super villians.I
like both myself.
If want to read the punisher take out some sicko. like the scumbag that is serial killer type.
the MAX is the way to go.
If I want him to take on a alien that can rip a car in half (one of the new punisher war journels) I read the war journel.
so I think there both great.
but neither were represented in the last movie 2004 punisher.
that was in miami and didn't feel anything like the punisher.
that's why I call it "the punisher in miami"
the 89 punisher did a little but a poor buget.
and studio didn't want the skull at all in that movie.
so they used them on the knives.
but "Dolph" wasn't too bad I thought with the budget they had back then.

I'm with you on that f300.
I hate when they cram things in movies. Look at the last spiderman.
it was good but not near as good as the other 2.
they cramed in venom instead of leading up to him in the next movie.
