i doubt deadpool is cannibalistic...i even doubt he has to eat. how could he? he has a plastic shell for a head?
i say its someone new, someone we dont know yet and then we will get a nice flashback who he is and be done with it...
Well Deadpool has to get nutrition somehow obviously plastic head or not. It'd also be a logic thing to do since fans love Deadpool and perhaps he might make this one as insane as the one we all know and love. _________________ Look at the state the world's in. Do you really think we're saving it?

What reasons are there for anyone to think this is deadpool other than the fact everyone seems to want deadpool to be in there again. I think this will be a new character.
I'm happy with deadpool as he was and I don't particularly want to see him again and I really don't want him to become more like his 616 version. I would rather the UU remains different

Yeah I don't want to see Ultimate Deadpool be like his 616 counterpart... I think the only reason why Deadpool pops into people's minds when trying to figure out the identity of The Spider is because Deadpool is nuts, and I guess so is he... Plus there's the whole 'costumes being similar' thing...
In all likelyhood it is a new character. It's hard at this point to guess who any new characters could be; Now that the Ultimate universe will start having way more original characters we can't guess on their 616 counterparts anymore and since dead means dead in the UU we can't simply guess a returning dead character either...
It could very easily be the other Spiderman clone. Remember when he was created it was by Doc Oc? Well also remember in that arc that it was also a Government funded project by members who were unhappy with SHIELD and Fury. Those people could very well have had info on the members of the Ultimates. "Know thy Enemy" so to speak. go back and read the interaction between Fury and Oc. You get the hint hat Oc knows more than he lets on and that could very well have been passed down to his projects.
I can't remember when I read it or in which book, but I thought cloning Spiderman again had always been a plan of Fury. Or at least his powers for the new generation Super Soldiers.

Where are you guys getting this canibal talk from? It's obvious it's somebody from the past, I doubt it's deadpool or a spidey clone, probably a former sheild employee.

Interviews. I think it was Millar or Bendis who stated that the Spider is a Cannibal. Of course, this was back when he still had a strange purple costume with multiple red eyes and a cloak made of webs... so Cannibalism might have changed to "causes people to commit suicide"...
Gregory Stark stated that after exchanging a few words with The Spider you will want to kill yourself. He specified the 'talking' part, so if it was pheromones you wouldn't need to have a conversation with him. Although this could be a misconception of his powers, it might just be that all the people he talked to wanted to kill themselves so they believed the suggestion was put there by speech, when it could be any number of things including pheromonal response...
