Hey there, True Believers! The San Diego Blood Bank and the Easy Going Honda Dealers of San Diego County are teaming up to offer you the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind, Captain America-themed Honda Element, custom designed by Marvel!
Anyone may purchase online entries to win the Captain America Element between now and Sunday, July 27, by visiting SanDiegoBloodBank.org. The proceeds will go to refurbish one of the blood bank's aging bloodmobiles.
The Captain America Honda Element will be on display between Thursday, July 24, and Sunday, July 27, at the 32nd Annual Comic-Con Blood Drive, taking place at the San Diego Marriott Hotel, next to the San Diego Convention Center where this year's Comic-Con will be held. Donors who give blood at the Comic-Con Blood Drive will receive a specially designed Comic-Con T-shirt and a goodie bag with a Diamond Toys Action Figure, while supplies last.
For more information or to make an appointment to give blood, please call 1-800-4MY-SDBB or visit www.sandiegobloodbank.org
The creation of this Captain America Honda Element collectible was made possible through generous donations by the Honda Dealers of San Diego County, who donated the Element, Marvel, who donated the "Captain America" artwork and DF Graphics, who wrapped the car.

If only I weren't trapped in South Dakota, I might actually be able to go to San Diego Comic-Con. Maybe they'll hold one here sometime soon. Or maybe they'll continue to use common sense and never come to this state.
But I bought my tickets just the same, even if I can't go to Comic-Con and get a free shirt and toys. Maybe they'll throw that stuff in the back seat if I win or something.
Either way, I hope the money fixes up whichever Bloodmobile they're fixing. Sounds like something Dracula would name his car. Until Blade came and beat the crap out of him.
Thanks for the Twitter link Agent M.

Contradiction?

This really seems kinda like a contradiction of priciples here, Captain AMERICA on a JAPANESE vehicle? Plenty of awesome american made vehicles to put him on so why a junker like that? I don't think captain america would support the destruction of our economy either.

Why a foreign car? Especially with all thats going on today.
Captain America on a foreign car. How ludicrous.
Captain America does not like American cars.
I will never purchase another Marvel Comic. Ever.

Im totally with the last guy. Cap deserves a pumped up american made muscle car not some tree hugging honda hybrid. Im guessing that if Steve Rogers was presented with this car he would of course humbly accept but then as he went to get in he would probably accidently rip the door off of this heep...sigh...did you see the car in the Iron Man movie!!! shouldn't Cap get at least that much respect?!?!
If the people think this is a good representation of Cap my hopes for the movie are quickly faultering....

That's certainly a smack in the face to anyone who ever worked for the "Arsenal of Democracy", as the US Automakers were once refered to as. It was the US Auto Industry that armed our forces fighting in Germany and Japan, and now Marvel does this to show their respect?
Where do your allegiances lie Marvel Comics???

Just a +1 to the list of people disappointed that they put Captain America on a foreign car. Seriously, what is the collective IQ of the team that thought this was a good idea? Someone needs to be fired.

I wish they would have done work on the interior. Cap's Shield for the steering wheel? Avengers logo air freshener? An on-star system named Jarvis?
