I doubt this question will get answered but when will the main books in SI be collected? I know that all the books aren't out yet but what is the erliest we can expect it out in hard cover form being that hard cover comes before TPB. Oh and um a secound question when will mephisto's real plan behind "helping" peter start to be addressed? I know a lot of net hate is addressed your way about the whole OMD/BND thing. I happen to think that their is a good story to be told about the deal. Meny think Marvel just used mephisto as the choosen means to get to the end of BND I think if a good story comes of it sure the hatters will still hate but at least they won't be able to accuse you of useing the mephsito deal to get to BND then never addressing it again. I'm thinking issue 600 of amzazing spider man would be the place for a big spidy mephisto confrontation but who am I fooling I want it a lot sooner then next year. Come on help a brother out!!!!!! would it help if i said please?
Thanks for answering if you do and if you don't hey I understand.
I read your column every week and have seen variations of this question, but I'm going to ask it again anyway: Can Marvel readers expect to see $3.99 as the new regular price for it's books? I understand when you slap that price on books that come in a cardstock cover, contain more than the standard 32 pages, or are the giant-sized annual specials. However, lately I'm seeing $3.99 on titles that are no different than a standard issue: case in point, the newer titles of the Marvel Illustrated series. Before, each issue was $2.99. Now, starting with the new MI: Three Musketeers series as well as the upcoming MI: The Odyssey series. I already have the first two issues of the Musketeers and there is nothing different from the previous MI miniseries: no extra pages, no cardstock covers. And looking through your September catalog, it appears that this price is being applied to other new, upcoming titles as well (the new Deadpool title comes to mind). What is the new criteria for the increase? Is it simply inflation? I understand the economy is changing and these things will happen. I'm simply looking for some insight as to what we can expect from the comic book industry. By the way, the Marvel Illustrated series is fantastic - I've collected every issue and hope it will continue for a long time. Thanks for the great work!
