In the latest edition of the Mighty Marvel Podcast, the crew welcomes X-MEN NOIR creators Fred Van Lente and Dennis Calero into the studio for a very special, slightly out of control, edition of the official Marvel Comics podcast.
The all-new Marvel Noir line of books begins in December with X MEN NOIR #1 and SPIDER-MAN NOIR #1, but now's your chance to get behind the scenes with the latest Mighty Marvel Podcast! Fan favorite podcast host & Marvel Senior Art Director Jeff Suter interviews the X-MEN NOIR creative team of writer Fred Van Lente (INCREDIBLE HERCULES), artist Denis Calero and Editor Nate Cosby who dish all the dirt on the new series. Who's a hero? Who's a villain? And just who—or what—are the X Men?

Finally got the thing to work. Anyone reading this - DON'T BOTHER with the podcast. It is a complete waste of 25 minutes. It's the writer and artist joking around and next to nothing is actually said about the actual story
They only briefly mention that surprise surprise Cyclops was one of the few characters as being interesting. Like I care since I'm sick to death of Cyclops being everywhere and Marvel drooling over his paper butt all the time. I'm sure any character I like that makes the book will get killed since Marvel can't write anything X-Men these days without playing favorites.

You do know it's fiction right?
Lighten up, people want to hear creators having a good time...
And FYI, Cyclops doesn't die...

I don't mind them having a good time. That's great, I want them to love their job. If they spent 15 minutes of the podcast having fun and joking as they went along - great - as long as they gave of 10 minutes of some type of information we didn't already know about the series. There was one minute of actual infomation about the characters and story and nothing we didn't already know including that Cyclops is one of the favorites. Making it a complete waste of time for getting me interested in the actual comic.

Of course he doesn't because I wish they'd kill him off on the first page so Jean or Rogue or Beast or Gambit or some other x-characters besides Cyclops, Wolverine, and Emma could get some spotlight for a change. Nope it will be one or more of those marginalized character I actually want to read for a change that will show up and get killed as usual.
Since I have been warned off getting involved in arguments, I only reported jsuter's post to the mods and to Marvel Marketing...
But I guess Marvel Comics doesn't mind if their staff is rude to the fans, proving my theory of a while now: comic book creators have taken on an "Us vs. Them" mentality when relating to the fans.
