The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has nominated J. Michael Straczynski for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the Clint Eastwood directed film "Changeling."
JMS, the current THOR scribe and longtime Marvel writer, joins Joel and Ethan Coen ("Burn After Reading"), Phillipe Claudel ("I've Loved You So Long), Martin McDonagh ("In Bruges") and Dustin Lance Black ("Milk") as nominees in the category. The BAFTAs are the British equivalent of the Academy Awards.
"This nomination confirms what we've known for a very long time, we have some of the finest writers in the world working in the comics industry, " said Dan Buckley, Marvel's President & Publisher. "I think the many, many readers of JMS' current THOR series would concur."
Verily we must agree—congratulations JMS, from everyone here at Marvel!
The British Academy Film Awards take place on Sunday, February 8 at the Royal Opera House in London.

It would be nice if JMS would finish The Twelve before he started working on his acceptance speech.
