I have to say I was impressed with this episode. I had already seen one or two episodes of this new animation with the Fantastic Four.
Although I liked the style, I have to say I wasn't really very keen on the comic relief moments.
However, this episode is a masterpiece. It was really well written and I actually chuckled a bit in several moments, for example, when Sue beheads the original Iron-Man suit and screams; Johnny's reaction asking if it was haunted; the whole scene when they meet Tony Stark, with the side remarks on the diamond chandelier, the tropical island, etc; the Thing putting out his leg to the real Iron-man while he's holding the buildingand challenging him to a fight; the Herbie conflict with Reed; and many more
The fight with Doom is simply great with everything you need to have a great time.
I have to say I appreciated the frozen moments, for example, when Doom sends Iron-man against the Fantastic Four, which gives you a 60´s feel, using them as a cliffhanger moment, but in an entire different fashion than what is done in Japanese Anime, which I personally abhor.
