One of the most celebrated fighting games in history returns for another round! Nine years after taking the arcade gaming scene by storm and over six years after making its original home console debut, "Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes" will soon juggle-combo its way onto Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade and PS3's PSN!
In anticipation of the "MvC2"s next-gen debut, we're bringing you daily showdown spotlights pitting a Marvel character against a Capcom character. Each entry features official game artwork, character bios and polls to determine which universe really brings the heat.
Make sure to pick up "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" when it's released for X-Box Live Arcade on July 29 and PSN soon.

Fighter Name: Cammy Real Name: Cammy Universe: Capcom, Street Fighter First Appearance: "Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers" Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "X-Men vs. Street Fighter," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" Citizenship: United Kingdom Brief Bio: A twisted, modified clone of M. Bison, leader of the evil terrorist organization Shadaloo, Cammy spent much of her life as one of Bison's beautiful, brain-washed assassins. Brutally efficient, Cammy carried out her missions with ease, eliminating all her targets. Then, on an assignment gone wrong, Cammy somehow beat her brainwashing and ended up in the hands of Delta Red, a division of Britian's MI6. Cammy now fights to keep the world safe from terrorist threats and mad dictators all while trying to build a new life for herself with Delta Red. Powers: Cammy is a skilled martial artist and assassin. Special Moves: Axel Spin Knuckle, Cannon Drill, Cannon Spike, Cannon Strike, Cannon Revenge, Spin Drive Smasher, Reverse Shaft Breaker, Killer Bee Assault Quote: "Your missing teeth will remind you of my victory."
Fighter Name: Rogue Real Name: Anna Marie Raven Universe: Marvel, X-Men First Appearance: AVENGERS ANNUAL #10 Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "X-Men vs. Street Fighter," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" Citizenship: USA Brief Bio: Originally a villain, Rogue worked with the shape-changer Mystique [who would later be revealed as Rogue's mother] as a part of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Eventually she reformed, and Professor Xavier offered her a spot on the X-Men, much to the rest of the team's chagrin. While her mutant ability, to absorb people's powers and memories, is the reason she's on the X-Men, Rogue has long viewed it is a curse because it makes her incapable of any sort of physical intimacy. Sure she can take Wolverine's healing powers or Cyclops' optic blasts but she may kill the person in the process. But the stalwart Southern Belle has made due and even managed to have a relationship with fellow X-Man, Gambit. Look but don't touch is the name of the game when it comes to this beauty. Powers: Rogue absorbs the abilities and memories of anyone that she makes skin-to-skin contact with. Also, after having permanently stolen the abilites of Ms. Marvel, she has super strength and flight. Special Moves: Repeating Punch, Rising Repeating Punch, Power Dive Punch, Power Drain, Good Night Sugar, Hyper Repeating Punch Quote: "Never mess with a Southern Belle!"
Cammy... She's lightning fast, crosses the screen quickly with cannon drill. Cannon spike/thrust kick is an excellent anti-air move. Killer Bee Assault is vicious, especially because it can be activated in mid-air, allowing her to lure opponents in. Spindrive Smasher, easy to use, effective. Spinning Backfist sends her flying past projectiles. Hooligan Combo gives her several options at a moment's notice. Nice ground combos, nice air combos, semi-infinites... She's the total package.
Rogue... SHE's lightning fast, crosses quickly with her repeating punch. Rising repeating punch is a great anti-air. She's got airdash ability that gives her a LOT of combo options, and even a semi-infinite. Her power-dive punch is a great, stylish escape move AND it can put pressure on enemies in no time. She's got high defense, though just a little slower than Cammy on offense. But she makes it up with her repeat-hit special moves. But Cammy definitely beats her on hypers. In short, Rogue is ALSO the total package...
In other words, THIS IS A DRAW MATCH!... Until you factor in Rogue's "Good Night Sugar":
1. IT'S UNBLOCKABLE. You can abuse this move. It cancels nicely with most of her attacks, so it's unpredictable. The only time I've found it can't be used is as the very opening move of the match; the computer prevents it from catching.
2. ROGUE GAINS UPGRADES. In other words, you can change Rogue's entire strategy up once she kisses someone. She can get a speed upgrade, and all of a sudden she's JUST as fast if not faster than Cammy. She can get a power upgrade which, when combined with her repeating attacks, makes her WAY deadlier. She can get a defense upgrade, which can allow you to use her in battle MUCH longer than normal. She can get a health upgrade, which gives her back any red health she has remaining. She can get hyper-armor, which basically lets her continue attacking uninterrupted and shake off any attack without even blocking. OR, in the rare case that she fights Silver Samurai and he uses his triple-ice upgrade, she can get SUPER armor, which allows her to not only shake off hits, but to take very little damage at the same time! (not many people know about that last one; I just discovered it a few days ago myself)
3. IT CAN BYPASS PROJECTILES. If you do it just right, this move blows right by most projectiles in the same way any throw would. BIG advantage, and EASY way to piss off opponents.
Without Good Night Sugar, it's a draw match between these two. But WITH Good Night Sugar, Rogue can even kiss Cammy and get a speed upgrade from her!

be killing in Marvel vs capcom 2. ps STREET FIGHTER SUCK AND WHAT THEY SHOULD MAKE IS A MARVEL VS. SNK , that would be tighter then Marvel v.s Street Fighter . Street fighter 4 sucked too slow. _________________ favorite Marve characters is Black panther,iron fist,Luke Cage, Storm,Misty knight, and Collen Wing. PS Marvel all the way DC comics Sucks.
Well I love Cammy so I voted for her to win! I have noticed that on all the votes so far, the Marvel characters have won bar one. Morrigan beat Marrow! Maybe because she is so boney and ugly compared to Capcoms premier succubus.
i dunno, but when playing that game i wouldve taken down Cammy with Rogue with alot of time to spare. that flying speed blitz of hers was good and cheap. Cammys canon-drill was to slow, didnt do enough damage, and was easy to jump over or knock her out of.
yep. pretty much smoked Cammy with ez every time with Rogue in that game. then again i smoked Shuma-Gorath in game with her too.lol. _________________ when hell is full, the Catman will walk the Earth.
