It seems to be more of an issue with the writers. Too many characters aren't seeing much respect outside of their own books. Ares, who lacks his own book, has been tossed about a few times by other characters. Even Marvel's "darling boy" Sentry has been tossed about a bit lately.
Marvel really lacks a lot in the way of editorial oversight so we don't get consistent portrayals of most characters (especially outside of their own books). It's a problem that isn't going away any time soon, unfortunately.
Technically Daken can solo her. His pheromones can control her emotions, and since see insist on stating that she weakens as she get angry I don't see how Daken wouldn't use that to his advantage.
Didn't really like this series. _________________ Shun Goku Satsu

We're past the halfway point for this year, and if asked to name the pleasantest surprise so far, this miniseries would win pretty easily. Its only advantage looking at it from the outside (and the only reason I bought it) was because of a stellar creative team (well, writer; Fred Van Lente; the artists are very good, but anonymous, and not worth buying something in and of itself, though I've never bought a series just for the art). Stacked against it was what appeared to be a derivative and unnecessary character with no relevance to the wider universe (of course, since this was published, we've learned she'll be sticking around for a while in backups, which seems a good place for her).
But it's been a blast; funny and inventive, and it succeeds in investing a lot of character into Lyra. And it does all this while at the same time giving She-Hulk 1.0 her best material in a good long while (since the early Slott run, at least). Jen's got some really hilarious dialogue, and gets some great action. The art is a melange of several different people along the way; one of those, Michael Ryan, will be doing the backups; I'd prefer Peter Vale, but Ryan is good too.
I dont think anything has really caught me in this series as much as this one reason: the way Lyra looks/feels/thinks about her dad. _________________ Hulk:Fusion Issue#4!
I liked the way this one ended. I mean, at least they didn't just kill her off like some other important Hulk mythos characters. This leaves her a chance to build some momentum, interact with the entire MU, and eventually have a say in World War Hulks.
