Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 DLC Character Spotlight: Black P

As if you needed another reason to pick up your controllers and jam on some "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2" again, a slew of new characters and sim missions are on their way to Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. We'll have weekly spotlights on each new character with screenshots, video and quotes from the folks behind the games, and today Black Panther, the King of Wakanda, is our star!
Adam Olshan, Lead Animator for Vicarious Visions, on Black Panther:
As a super hero, Black Panther combines high-tech gadgetry, mastery of nearly all combat styles and supernatural agility and strength. This formula posed challenges, but also opened the door for the team to create a diverse moveset. Whether he's peppering enemies with rapid slashing melee attacks, energy daggers or leaping acrobatic powers, Black Panther exudes incredible quickness and deadly force.
We spoke with Marvel early on to include the Ebony Blade as part of his arsenal. The sword plays an integral role in some of Black Panther's fusions, power moves and even his melee attacks. Because it's a hand-wielded weapon, we were able to use it to accentuate Panther's innate physical abilities and hand-to-hand combat skill.

In my opinion, I think that MUA 1 and 2 are just the same thing as the X-Men Legend games. I think they use the same backgrounds. Same moves. The only difference is the story and character skins. Basically, reusing the same things but making it a tad bit different. Like with the X-Men games,
Wolverine's moves are the same
Mr. Fantastics "pinball" move = Beast
Juggernaut, Thing, Captain America's "charge" = Colossus
Iceman and Human torches "pillar" = Magma
Deadpool = Nightcrawler / Bishop
Mrs. Marvel's "tribeam" type attack = Cyclops
Mrs. Marvel's "ignition" = Jubilee / Gambit
Marvel UA 2 Gambit's "trap" type attack = Magneto
Moon Night "staff slam" = Gambit
Dr. Strange's attack that turns ppl to crates = Scarlet Witch
All the radial attacks are the same but diff looking
All the single throwing attacks are the same but look diff
Black Panters spinning claw and claw slash = Nightcrawler/Deadpool and Wolverine
Penance's attack where he shoots in the air and it falls randomly = Bishop
The hard hitters super punch = Rogue
Elektra's stun kick = Toad
Elektra's spin kick = Beast
Black Panther's move where he disappears = Nightcrawler
Iron Fist, Mrs. Marvel, and 2 others have that same move where they jump in the air and smash down...
The combined moves are the same
I can go on and on and on, on how the moves are RE-USED
The only new moves I personally liked was Spiderman's webslam thing, Storms new wind attack and Invisible Woman's crushing move.
SO. The point of me saying all of this is that I think instead of making people PAY for these new characters for MUA2, They should just make new skins or make them free downloadable characters. I mean, either way, its gonna be all the same right? Even the previews of "Cable Spotlight" and all that, it shows the same moves. :]

I dunno... Most games recycle the same moves with slight variations. I'm a fighting game enthusiast, and most fighting game characters don't radically change over time with very few exceptions, such as Jin Kazama from Tekken 3 to Tekken 4.
I think the buyability comes in the following:
New graphics
New gameplay systems
New storylines
Yeah, a lot of moves are rehashed and borrowed. The good news is, eventually, they'll HAVE to create new moves to support an ever-expanding roster of characters. For instance, if they ever put Black Panther and Nightcrawler in the same game, then they won't be able to give them both the same move; they'll have to think up something new.
So just give it time, and it should smooth out.

this is the best addition to the team of MUA2 by far he has a new variety of attacks and not all of the powers are the same as MUA2 they have a hole new concept you have to take into consideration sure the fighting styles and gamerview is the same as its previous version but the graphics are more refined and the character templates are more efficient and more complex you have to think of the additions of the fusion and new mapping that hasnt been experienced.
