Marvel's greatest superhero, there wouldn't be a Avengers bandwagon movie fanbase without him jumpstarting the age of Marvel's Cinema Universe. He is what DC is to both Superman and Batman, a iconic figurehead and big time forefather for most of Marvel's heroes minus Cap, but honestly who liked Cap before the movies and Civil War.

LOL Deadpool as well, he will forever and always be a poor mans r rated spidey wannabe.

Dear Marvel,

Please don't bail out Andrew Garfield in this new reboot of Spider-man. In fact he redefined the true personality of spidey in those movies he portrayed. That goofy witty funny person he does in those films... That's the real Peter Parker in him. Please do us a favor and don't take him out. The truth is I saw the true Spider-man in Andrew Garfield because he played it with justice.

It seems that we will see the new Spider-Man in his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War, so if you can't wait to see the brand new Spider-Man, it's Captain America: Civil War which will be released in May 6, 2016, that's when Spidey will make an appearance. Captain America: Civil War is about to start shooting, I highly doubt that they will re-write the whole story, as we know and as we heard previously, Black Panther was suppose to take the role of Spidey, a guy in between Iron Man and Captain America, in between the whole conflict, it seems that Black Panther still will play a crucial part in this story, but that being said it's not like Spider-Man won't make an appearance there, most likely it will be a brief role some sort of an introduction role, maybe a team-up between him and Black Panther or maybe he will pop up in the post credit scene, but it will be Captain America: Civil War, not Avengers: Age of Ultron, we're pretty sure they still can include some Easter egg or some mention of Spidey in Avengers: Age of Ultron, that will be logically seeing how they just announced it and they still have time to edit the film and throw Spider-Man into one of the post credit scene in there. One thing is for sure Marvel will somehow have to make some changes to Captain America: Civil War story, whether it's a brief role for Spidey, I think he deserves some sort of role, not just an Easter egg, not just a mention of him, definitely we will see him full body costume and the brand new Peter Parker will be played by a new actor and that's Civil War and then Spidey will have his own solo film which will be released in 2017, it's interesting to know that the leaked emails actually revealed the potential way of how exactly they might introduce Spider-Man in Civil War.

Spider-Man has already joined Marvel Studios, this means Marvel will bring in the younger teenage version of Peter Parker who is at high school, no new origin story, Peter will already be Spider-Man at the beginning and they won't focus on the love story, just spidey being an every day superhero. The new Spider-Man which will be now part of the MCU, will first appear in a Marvel movie and then later on, Spidey will appear in his own solo film on July 28, 2017. A movie will be co-produced by Kevin Feige, his team at Marvel Studios and Amy Pascal who just recently announced she quits her co-chairman position at Sony Pictures and she will start her own production company. So this is it, Sony Pictures Entertainment Brings Marvel Studios Into The Amazing World Of Spider-Man, it was reveal that Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute the film and have a final creative control over the future Spider-Man films, but of course they are now working with Marvel team. This means most likely almost guaranteed that Spider-Man will pop up, not only one MCU film, he will appear in many future other Marvel films as a guest or he'll have a bigger role, Captain America: Civil War, unlikely, it's about to start shooting and the only way they can include him in Civil War is by giving a credits scene or some Easter egg or some mention of Spidey in there, but this is very very exciting and we're getting a solo film which will be released like two years from now on July 28, 2017, after Spider-Man pops up in a MCU film.

Hello, thanks for reading my huMale comment. I have wanted one thing sk badly and that is to play spiderman. I know that andrew Garfield is here to stay but that might change for the avengers. And I really want a shot at being the wall craler. Please support me on this lofty goal and don't try to mock me about a dream I have as a fellow fan. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day/life

MARVEL,

I know you probably don't take the advice from your fans (which, btw, would increase your fan base 10 fold if you did) But having Andrew Garfield as spider-man was (pun intended) amazing. He was so similar to the comics which is basically my childhood summed up really. I know he will not be making any more Spiderman's with you, which is a shame. But from all the other actors that have been brought to my attention for the role, well. I'd just like to say that I'm slightly disappointed. I know it hasn't been long since A.Garfield left, but considering that the new Captain America film (civil war) is set to be released approx.. May 2016, you would already have an actor in mind for the role and have probably already contacted them. I am disappointed that for one: you will probably not even read this. Two: that the actor MOST wanted for the role HAS not and probably WILL not be contacted. Three: That you haven't told your fans who the next Spiderman is. Actually no...scratch that. I think that It's a good Idea to keep people on the edge of there seats so I will actually suggest not letting the fan base no who it is until the teaser trailer of the movie comes out. But let me let you in on a little secret here, yeah?... Dylan O'Brien. He is your secret weapon. he fan base from teen wolf would join Marvel (aka Spiderman), the fans of the books the maze runner (by James Dashner)and fans of the films would be drawn to Marvel. And the Fans you already have, well, about 80 percent have actually stated that if they can't have Garfield then O'Brien is the best choice. even though about 20 percent wouldn't like the idea...They will stick by you because it's Marvel. But as soon as they see him in action of being Spiderman. Trust me. 150 percent of your fans will be on board. Now I know what your thinking. Oh, she'd  girl she's just been swayed because she likes him or something...newsflash...im a gay...so I am not siding with O'Brien because I fancy him. Wow, now you know WAAAAY to much about my personal life... But, to be honest I didn't even know who he was until I saw that he was one of the top 2 people that fans wanted to play Spiderman. After that of course, research kind of takes its toll. You probably...no once again scratch that, you DEFINATELY won't reply to this but you should read it. You won't though. Because you do not listen to your fans. Contrary to what you may say and even believe.

I will now bore you with 'pointless' facts and reasons why out of ALL the other actors I have seen suggested for the role, why O'Brien is the best.

. He brings a sense of humour to the screen that CAN stand out. For example, if he had o share a screen with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. The humour and awkward characteristic of SPIDERMAN (the comic book character) Would stand out and shine through as If the F**king sun had entered the movie

. He is just a loveable person no matter what character he is playing.

. He is good at coming up with his own quick phrases and actions that bring out his characters personality and their feelings in WHATEVER dangerous or awkward situation he is in.

. He helps other characters shine through as well and make them more lovable

. He has already said he would be interested in the role and I quote that when he was asked what superhero he would lie to be, before the question was even finished being asked he said "spidermansidermansidermansiderman." so he would put passion into the character and wouldn't let you down for commitment.

. He has shown in teen wolf that he can have the humour and awkwardness of Peter Parker and in the maze runner that he has a HERO streak.

TAKE IT INTO ACCOUNT YOU PRABLY WONT BUT YOU REALLY REALLY NEED TO.

I really hope I am not the only one, but I kinda wish they made an amazing spider-man cartoon or series similar to 'the flash' it would be a massive hit because who wouldn't want to see that, ya know start of the amazing Spider-man cartoon or series just after superior spider-man so that you could watch how the events leading up to the amazing spider-man issue #1 takes place. It would also be amazing watching the spider verse instead of just reading the comic, which was awesome and addictive to read. But it would be cool to see all that take place as a cartoon or series. Anyone agree?

Marvel, when are you going to include more Asian American characters that aren't side characters? One thing you could do is turn Spiderman's secret identity to Peter Park.

Spider-Man is the equivalent to what Batman is to DC, being the most popular character in Marvel. Man, gotta thank Lee and Kirby for creating this "amazing" superhero. (Pun intended)

Hi Marvel,

Just letting you know Tom Brevoort just ruined RYVs on his tumblr and I am a long time fan who left because of OMD. Good to know in advance not to hope for anything. I WON'T be coming back. You almost had me.

I'm sure knew fans won't mind but you've ruined things for a lot of people who grew up with a married Spidey. Time is on your side though so just keep going this way and I'm sure you'll be just fine.

I'm sure Spider-Man is in Avengers: Age of Ultron. I searched Avengers: Age of Ultron on set photos and the Director and the guy who plays Quicksilver are talking together and  Andrew Garfield is next to them. He is wearing a cloak but you can clearly see Andrew and him in the Spider-Man outfit.

Been a while since I've been on Marvel- whatever happened to our beloved message boards??!! This site used to be so full of fan interactions. not it just seems full of ads and movie news. I'm fine with finding out what new movies are coming, and getting info on the comics is great- but where's the fan discussion? Where's the community that this place used to host? I feel betrayed. Spidey is and always will be one of my favorite Marvel characters, but I just don't feel any heart on here anymore. It's sad.

Vortex85

Marvel,

Why do you keep regurgitating teenage Spider-Man in cartoons and why do you want to show teenage Spider-Man in your movies? You should try for once to adapt Peter's life as an adult. He's been out of college since the 1970s.

Instead of assuming kids only can relate to a teenage hero, you could show them what fans of the comics have been enjoying the last few decades. What makes Spider-Man special is not his age, but his life struggles and how he goes through things that average people have to go through.

Kid's can understand adult issues too. I was 9 years old when I read the comics and Peter and MJ were married and I really enjoyed the stories regardless. I could imagine my own future while reading about Spider-Man and it made marriage actually seem cool to me at a young age. I think you should show the world stories that they are missing out on in the comics and stop repeating the same old tropes about Spider-Man elsewhere.

Can someone answer this question for me?... I Know gwen stacy dies in the comic books but in the last issue when peter parker dies she is there? How come she is still alive in 700 when she died long ago?

Its really bugging me and i would love ans answer thanks

Vortex85
Vortex85

@Cgh11 She's still dead. The pages she appeared in were in an afterlife or Peter's imagination as he was dying in Doc Ock's body. He was snapped back into reality a couple pages later.

Vortex85
Vortex85

@Cgh11 Also just in case you didn't know, 700 isn't the last issue, Peter's story is still going in Volume 3 of Amazing Spider-Man, he got his body back from Doc Ock.
