I was just able to read the Torch-story for now, so I'm going to tell my opinions on Doctor Strange in a reply. As for Torchy: I always knew, the mystery person was much better as a villain. I mean, he could've killed Thing and Torch multiple times. And yes, once again we have to be told the authority-figure is right to be the leader, those challenging him are always doomed to fail. But one kudos for the story: I actually couldn't guess the mystery person until the very end!

And what a finally for the first appearance this was! Strange fights the dreaded one, after learning, that his powers actually defend his own dimension - so a victory would mean Doom as well, just for a different set of innocent people! Doctor Strange concludes, his loyalty lies with earth and attacks, holds his own valiantly, but ultimately looses more and more power...until we notice Dormmamus power decreased as well, just at other places: His protection-spell around his domain crumbles, leaving his enemies inside. And it's only with Stranges help, that he can push them back, leaving him in the debt of a mortal. Of course this means, he will neeeeeever threaten earth again...

A great finale, and a nice way of ending the fight, that couldn't have logically ended with Strange winning in a fair one on one. Once again, Doctor Strange outshines the Torch!
