bird3678 member 5pts Ok, this is a good issue, but kinda spooky. Our heroes head out to look for the Sandman, and in the panel before they arrive, Spidey mentions that he has a date later that evening. Johnny asks him who the "unlucky" lady is, and he doesn't respond. In the next panel, they arrive at their destination. . . the George Washington Bridge. On page 15, Spidey (reflecting on the fact that Johnny is having girl troubles) thinks "I shouldn't blame the Torch for doing three Scrooge bit. If I ever lost Gwen, I'd cry "humbug"with the that of them." Please keep in mind that this issue is set in 1972 (even though it war actually published in March of that year). In a little over a year after this was published, Peter indeed lost Gwen at the George Washington Bridge. I'm sure they didn't mean to foreshadow like this, but it's an odd set of coincidences.
