I like the writing, Bob Gale, along with everyone who was writing this book back during Brand New Day, really had a knack for making Spidey fun again, and for making his supporting cast an important part of the story, and even for making New York feel like an actual place instead of just a generic urban backdrop. But Jiminez is maybe not the best artist for this book. His work is definitely dynamic, but his actual drawings aren't so good.

Loved this issue. Has an classic Spidey feel to it. Phil Jimenez's art suits the story style and is very dynamic. Credit to Bob Gale for conjuring up the feel of Spidey old.

Hm, I actually disliked the 90s vibe, but maybe it was intentional.
