I have never been a fan of Marvel sidekicks (Rick Jones really did my head in) however Bucky I could put up with. Maybe it was because he was so full of Cap history and only Cap history that I could relate to. However this issue attempts to change all that by altering the way in which Bucky becomes Caps partner. Steve is introduced to James as Captain America. His secret is not mistakenly discovered. Why does this have to happen this way?! I understand that this comic is going off in anew direction with the stories that it is telling, but was it really necessary to change Marvel history like this? I would love someone to explain the rationale behind this.
