what the ..? while definitely not related to the major event in progress, this issue is a welcome break from too much stuff happening in not enough time & sometimes out of publishing order. And it's nice to see some classic artwork too, it was relaxing if not entirely sensible.

This was an amazing issue. Mike Allred really does make everything better.

And...my comment seemed to have been swallowed...ok, short version:

-GREAT issue

-See what Doop does at the school!

-Poor guy

-Loved it, but now back to Broods apparent death, please

Which, I noticed, happened in the next issue anyway. Huh. Well, I was reading AvX with a reading order list first, and this issue was the first non AvX-issue, so I read this after #18, and...

Never mind...

HA! I'd pay to see Doop battle Galactus! That sounds like a hoot!

I do like Doop though….why I don't know. 80)

I agree, this title is really unnecessary. Marvel just keeps putting out these huge story archs to sell a bunch of comic books with no concern for the ridiculous fall out. Marketing schemes have changed Marvel and The Marvel Universe completely and not for the better. Wolverine used to be my favorite character, now that he's so impossibly overexposed, I only see him as a corporate joke and this title helps prove that. Money and Greed Corrupt and ruin everything. How many Hulks do they have running around now? Nuff said.

I cancelled my subscription to this comic after reading number 17, I should have done it after 16, devoting two issues in a row to characters that no one cares about is really lame. I want my eight dollars back. Doop is okay I guess, but reading this issue right after the one about the little kid running the hellfire club was too much and I had to drop it. If Phoenix-Cyclops had just killed the little psycho it would have been a much more interesting story, and more consistent with his character.
