When i heard the where replacing peters mind.. I shook my head, and though i might boycott the line until peter was back proper.

I am so glad i didnt, even though it was sometimes hard to read, watching ock change the spiders life we all know... And love... It did manage to, i think breath some change into pEter that should have been a long time coming. A recent run of watching spider cartoons on netflix fRom (1997?) gave a version of peter that was essentially tony stark... And i see a version of that possibly playing out..

Will peter manage to keep parker industries working and afloat? Side note... Did anYone note, abbreviating parker industRies is "pi" something without a theoretical end calculation? I got a chuckle seeing that on a wall behind peter at one point..

I ask you Dont spoil it to much as i am still playing catchup with marvel unlimited.. But had Had had to piCk up the current asm's to see wHat was up.

In a way, i will miss ock, for his misplaced brilliance.. However, i'm not sure we have heard the last of him.. Can we say clone?

I also feel real bad for ms maRcioni... And the scene she uses possible pregnacy was pure genIus, both by the writer, and seemed in Character for her from what i can tell of her thus far.

I will continue to read, with a new found addiction! Make mine marvel..

Excellsior!

(Ok to print.. Sorry for the caps.. Something wrong on the ipad)

He's back... sigh of relief... don't buy the variant covers... just the work of marketing toads.   My question is... if Mary Jane is no longer married to Pete (and I gotta say... the Mephisto Annulment,  I didn't think you could do that unless you were a Kennedy) then why is she still hanging around?

@zosoace, I haven't picked up this new book yet, but I agree that what was done to the Spider-man character was a hatchet job! It was by far the  the absolute worst thing any comic book writer could do to the most popular comic book character in the marvel universe!

I redeemed a code for this hoping to read the digital version but digital copy is not available it says how disappointing now I have to get paper version back from my friend so I can read it

I was once a very avid fan of the Marvel Universe.  A long time collector and for many years a comic book dealer.  I've only hovered on the sidelines picking up the occasional graphic novel or browsing the rack at a big box book store for the last decade or so.  Well a friend still in the industry gave me a copy of this book to read knowing how big a Spidey fan I am... and to put it simply... how completely disappointing to see that THIS is where the greatest character of the Marvel Universe has been taken.   Brain swaps?  A bajillion variants of Spidey... my goodness.   Plainly put, this is one of the worst comic books I've read and I can't imagine the track Spidey was placed on leading up to it was any better.     I sure hope the rest of the Marvel Universe has not been so sullied and that things get on a better track for the Amazing Spiderman...but  until they do.. DON'T make mine Marvel.

Does anyone know the most limited or rarest of the variant covers to the amazing #1? Like to get one or two variants but likE 20 or 30 is just getting silly. No wonder comics are worth anything anymore. Love To read, just wish you could still collect and Have investment. If anyone knows please holla.

(OKAY TO PRINT) Well, I just read Spider-Man: Family Business and I'd love to see more of Peter's sister, Teresa Parker (it's established that Teresa is his sister in the final pages of the graphic novel) in future issues.  Also, would it be possible that Teresa could join the Avengers?  That way, Spider-man can work closely with his sister.  Yeah, I know it might clash with the Black Widow, but it would be nice to see them team up on a regular basis.

As for Amazing #1 -- There is no end in sight to the actions of Otto Octavius' and his consequences.  The Black Cat is out for blood, as a woman scorned Felicia Hardy is going to make Peter pay, even though he isn't responsible.

and . . . is that a new Spider-Woman coming out of the woodwork?  The radioactive spider bit Peter and an unknown girl.  How would the original Spider-Woman take it?  Could we see a team-up once this new Spider-Woman story starts escalating?

I really love this issue. I'm so glad Peter is back. I can't wait to see what more this series is gonna bring to the table. Hopefully it's around way more than a couple of years. This is gonna be the series that gets me back into comics, I can see that

Did anyone really even enjoy Doc Oc taking on the role of Peter Parker? I personally think that Marvel is thinking well enough to make the book appeal to readers and hopefully bumping the prices down. And I thought DC was expensive!!!!

this has better got to be better (oh, wow) than the last amazing spider-man issues. black cat, one more day, brand new day, what the heck, man!

although, that won't matter because the series will get rebooted in what, two years? two months?

According to the preview of the first issue shows, it seems that the radioactive spider bit someone else's ... a woman...  Interesting. A part of this, then there's that guy who ate that spider when it died ... Carl King, The Thousand from the Tangled Web of Spider-Man # 1 Too many spiders in the Universe 616: P

First of all, Welcome back the true Spider-Man. It feels like it’s been years since I’ve picked up a Marvel Comic, and I hate to say this but ever since Amazing Spider-Man #700 I had Boycotted Spider-Man titles (With the exceptions of Amazing Spider-Man #700.1/.2/.3/.4/.5) I did, through a few friends, read several issues of Superior Spider-Man. I found that even though the idea was interesting and the writing was frankly amazing, I just couldn’t bring myself to like the character. But now The Spider-Man I know and love is back and I’m sure that My wallet will be happily lighter with each issue.

@forbush-53 Spider-woman from the earths 921 and 8545 is Mary Jane too. She could be on Spider-verse like Spider-woman/ Gwen Stacy.

Levigon
Levigon

@forbush-53 I think Mary Jane still give more to say. Well, soon two versions of MJ´s daughter will appear from future: Venom from "Earth X" and "Spider-girl" MC2. I wonder why Mephisto never did anything against the marriage of Reed Richards and Susan Storm. : P

@Iron_Spider84  Otto deleted himself from Peter's consciousness to free him up from distraction to defeat the Green Goblin.  His memories shouldn't be a factor, although his actions as the Superior Spider-Man most likely will

findmodestanswer
findmodestanswer

@Iron_Spider84  I think peters consciousness is going to steal all of otto's memories, cutting off the physical otto from his cognitive self. Thus peters body will be free of the otto memories and be mostly himself again.

Levigon

@Aceracer  Yes, although I think he could have consequences from superior saga. Although he had other near-death experiences before that and he has survived. :) Welcome back Peter!!! :D

@jspeedy @Iron_Spider84 Except that Otto used the same method to delete himself that he used to delete Peter.  Obviously, deleting Peter permanently wasn't successful. To think that Otto could still be in there somewhere seems logical.  I would like to see Otto come back and this time be on the side of good.
