Slott thinks new readers enjoy an eternally young Peter Parker. So why not re-edit again the old classic issues for these readers? The only thing that readers can not identify with Peter is because he never evolves and grows. Re-edit of classic and all arranged. Veteran readers will also want to see Peter grow, otherwise it is unnatural and less credible the comic. In the year 2099 I think Peter will continue to be a Spider-man with his eternal thirty years. :P Silk, the next Spider-woman... Will they have childs on future?. :P If May Mayday Parker -  from MC2 -  see them, what would she think... :P

Is it safe to say newest spider-couple soon?

@Levigon Peter has grown and evolved considerably over the run of the series. Obviously they have to age him slower than the true passage of time, otherwise he'd be about 66 now. But he's gone from a 15 year-old high school student to a 30-something doctor and business owner. I'd say that's acceptable progress.

@Rikuza Peter's love life is very chaotic now from OMD I think she will be his new girlfriend, yes... :P

Hey Levigon what did you mean that she's the fith spider woman

@Peasprout @Levigon And those changes are great, but I don´t think they will go beyond that. We probably will never see a married Peter again.. and fewer with a daughter ... even though spend another 15 years or more ... 30 And these are changes that made him even closer to us. Lately.. Slott seems to have eliminated this situation in other alternative earths, as we can see in the preview of issue # 8, with Spider-girl. The family context is largely forgotten ...

Anyway it might be worse a reboot every so often.

@spidernation 1 - Yessica Drew; 2 - Julia Carpenter; 3 - Mattie Franklin; 4 - Charlotte Witter. Cindy Moon would be the fifth in order of appearance in comics. She might also be the first, considering that she was bitten by a the same spider when Peter was. I don´t count those who named herselfs Spider-girl. Yessica Drew and Cindy Moon are the only active today.

@Levigon @Peasprout Do we need to see him married again? We've seen that storyline. For 20 years we had a married Peter Parker, and I'm not sure what more could be done with it. Peter and a wife raising kids and later retiring might make for realism, but it only detracts from a super-hero comic book.

@Peasprout @Levigon Then, they should kill Aunt May because we have seen her too many years... Spider-man is more than a super-hero comic-book. That made this character diferent to others.

@Levigon @Peasprout Aunt May seems to have a lot of story left in her, so killing her off doesn't make much sense, at least for the time being. She just remarried, after all, which is one of many elements that continues to make Spider-Man different. You seem fixated entirely on the marriage story arc, but there are myriad other developments and changes keeping the comic fresh and original. We had 24 years of Peter as a student/ young adult, then we got 20 years of him as a husband. Now we're just getting started with Peter as a full-grown, working adult. Maybe in 2034 it will be time for another major change, but I for one like the direction the comic has taken. I do wish the Dr. Octopus/ Superior Spider-Man story had lasted a few more years, but it was great while it lasted and I can always re-read it in the future.

@Peasprout @Levigon was a joke .. I do not want the death of Aunt May; we can even see many more boyfriends in the future, as were Otto Octavius or Nathan Lubensky before Jameson. We could see even more marry many more times before she dies. What I didn´t like is how they´ve solved the end of Peter´s marriage. It´s as if Peter and MJ's marriage was more dangerous than Reed Richards and Susan Storm´s marrigage is. Writers should explain why Mephisto wanted to break ... a marriage. The death of Gwen Stacy was dramatic, but it had a solution more sense for the character.
