JackStamper member 5pts Well, I've never read a better Human Torch story. Sadly, this one came out in amazing Spider-Man, and quite frankly, can't really compare to that calibre of storytelling. That's not to say it was bad. But it doesn't really read like a Spider-Man-story. It has a Torch Villain, the Torches love interest and a very torchy feeling, right to the point that the villain only wants to defeat the Torch, right after getting out of jail.Highlighting, how much more loved the Torch is instead of Spiderman is nice, but a bit on the nose here. The plot basically moves forward by every one meeting each other accidentally, and there really is no reason for Spiderman to tell the Torch to just follow him, if he wants to find his girlfriend...proof fot her not being with him: She was currently not with him.Still a nice story for hat it is, but since it basically is a Human Torch-Story being worked over with Spider-Man standards, it's not much better than "nice".
