This series is outstanding for the first 18 issues, then out of nowhere issue 19 casts Thor in the role of Captain Planet in a ridiculous environmental story in which Thor battles Roxxon and their flying factories (that apparently exist solely to manufacture pollution). The downturn in story quality is astonishing.

Great story arc one of best I've ever read. Gor is great villain.

''Thor would be able to strike as firmly as 'HE' wanted, whatever 'HIS' aim, and the hammer would never fail, and if 'HE' threw it at something, it would never miss and never fly so far from 'HIS' hand that it would not find its way back, and when 'HE' wanted, it would be so small that it could be carried inside 'HIS' tunic.''

This series is phenomenal!  I'm only 8 issues in, but . . . . wow!

This was the best story arc featuring Thor that I've read so far.  A definite must add to any God of Thunder fan' collection!!
