Anyone else tired of the whole...oh no Aunt May, oh no my identity, I can't have a real relationship they might find out, not to mention..I'm out of web fluid. Its so tiresome.
The threat of Identity is just annoying since the Civil War, I keep hoping everyone will find out. I liked Norman and a selected few knowing, but I also thought it added some interesting developments. We have seen the results, this is not a ...OH NO hope he doesn't have to reveal it.
The whole single Spidey thing makes me laugh, all these writters wanted a single Spidey...can't tell stories with him married. What has it been 2 years or so now, and what story couldn't have been told? Spidey getting drunk and sleeping with roomie? Sleeping with Black cat, hope she never remembers knowing who he was..terrible. Just seems like the writters just wanna tell glorified conquest stories. Mrs Marvel will be next.
Web fluid..well atleast they have toned that down some. Loss of teaching career still sucks. But hey gotta be like the good old days. Take pictures, have Jameson hate you and be broke.
Not everyone like the Totem powers/story line but atleast it was something really new. Back in Black fantastic..now we are back to this recycled 60's drivel.
I dont balme the writters or the artists...completly. But the comic just feels...dusty. There is no direction. They rely on negativity to sell comics. Or they hype up something only to have it feel flat or not delivered. Now they recycling all the long established villians in the gauntlet... why.. because most of the characters introduced since the "bad word" have been 1 or 2 issue at best villians. Heck they are even using Ben Reilly to try and sell issues. And that story was transparent..never seen that ending coming.
What I would like to see is a writter take over Spider-Man, address all the issues from "the bad word" and then move the character in a NEW direction. Introduce some new villians that are not 1 or issue villians, but on the same level as Venom or Mysterio..Without having to be Green goblin # 50 or Mysterio 12 etc.

Well, with any comic character, they go through similar story lines multiple times. I was looking forward to seeing what will happen with the whole world knowing who Spider-Man was...but it came at a time that everything was going to revert back.

I actually feel like the concept of the gauntlet is just recycling itself, Spider-man's major villains target him one by one, one after the other, all completely revamped??? Lame.
Like I mean jazz up one here or there if you have to but mix it up.
Its as bad as introducing like 30 new villains in a row, mix it up so that Spidey doesn't have to make jokes like "What's this? New villain month?"
It's stupid, and such a weak pattern style, it shouldn't be allowed.

I'd rather have seen an updated Sinister Six come at him all at once rather than one at a time.

yep. totally agree it is juts a re-hash and not even a good one at that!!
If you read the original black cat storyline where she liked spidey and then found out his identity and thought peter was dull as ditchwater, it was really interesting. She wanted spidey back and for once peter struggled with someone actually not caring who peter parker was but found spiderman way more interesting!!
JMS told greta stories even though he was married and i haven't seen anything to suggest a single spidey has seen better story telling. In fact it reminds of the stories form the 90's where i basically got out of comics for a while.
If you read Ultimate spiderman its actually a great example of covering similar story lines with fresh takes on them - bendis is a genius!!

Weren't people complaining about Peter's identity being known when Civil War was happening and now that his identity is a secret again (minus a few groups like the Avengers and the FF) you want his identity to be exposed again?
These is no way in making some people happy I see...
