I think the New Avengers need a heavy hitter.

They have some strong members. I mean Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, or Luke Cage are def. powerful. But they need somebody with real power, the old avengers had Thor and Iron-Man who could drop some serious firepower. I mean they had to run away from Ares last issue.
Just feels like they could use another member. Idk, could Luke Cage take on Ares?

Ares could hold his own against Thor or Iron Man, so they would still have to retreat. _________________ Read my Spider-Man Fan fiction! First arc is done!

Hercules / Ares / Blue Marvel / Vision / Wonder Man / She-Hulk / one of X-men like Colossus or Juggernaut / Nova / Quasar.
I consider these the best picks.

I get what you're saying, but I think that goes against the "street level" feel they're trying to have on the New Avengers. _________________ Bishop:"...You're incapable of seeing the truth. You think she's the messiah. She's death."
Cyclops "Our survival's at stake, Lucas. All mutants. Did you even think for a single second that you could be wrong?"
Bishop "Did you?"
Deece has got it right. This is a street level team, not the Mighty or Dark Avengers. These guys are fighting against a government, not against cosmic beings. Not only is this seen through their roster, but their actions as well.

However, when the government has a sanctioned team of supers which includes Ares, Sentry and Iron Patriot, you need some heavy hitters as well.
Every Avengers team needs a Strength Class 100 to be honest. DA have Sentry, MA have Hercules. NA used to get away with it because they had Doc Strange, but now their most powerful member is Ms Marvel, who is good but just not in the super-heavyweight league. I always thought that the original Avengers, with Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Wasp and Giant Man had the perfect mix of power, expertise, tactical know-how and resources.
Of course, During Siege I think we'll see Thor coming back to the Avengers, and he's arguably the top of the Super-heavyweights. that'll give them some major punch.

That's an addition I would really like to see actually. _________________ Bishop:"...You're incapable of seeing the truth. You think she's the messiah. She's death."

I REALLY want the Blue Marvel to join the Avengers, hell Stark even offered him a place on the team.

I think Ms. Marvel is their heavy Hitter. She's no slouch in the military tactics department, she has super strength, flight and energy projection. Oh yeah, and invulnerability too.
I know, she's a chick and a lot of people never look past that fact, but I'm sorry, much Like She Hulk, she's a heavy hitter, and can easily drop a tank on whomever they facing.
Thor and the Hulk are both Omega Class threats, but tony's not. So I'd say Carol is at least as heavy as Tony, and probably equal to any of the second teir gods (Herc Ares) they've had on the team over the years.
Heck, if the Age of the Sentry is to be believed she could even hold her own with him (back when she was the Sentress).
