Marvel Entertainment, Inc., a global character-based entertainment licensing company celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding in 1939, has partnered with Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, to launch an exclusive collection of co-branded merchandise featuring some of the most renowned Super Heroes in the Marvel Universe. The partnership enables Marvel to leverage the power of both brands, expanding into previously untapped channels of retail distribution while extending the reach of its popular Super Hero franchise to new audiences.
Created in partnership between Harley Davidson, Marvel and SGI apparel, and available exclusively through Harley-Davidson dealers worldwide, the co-branded program includes apparel and accessories for newborns, infants, toddlers, boys and girls, as well as stationary and paper goods. The merchandise will incorporate iconic images of Harley-Davidson bikes, trademarks and logo along with Marvel style guide art and new art tailored for this program.
"The Harley-Davidson brand -- representing adventure, tradition and strength -- has achieved true cult status among its legion of loyal fans," said Paul Gitter, President of Consumer Products for North America, Marvel Entertainment. "This exclusive co-branded program helps open up new channels of distribution for Marvel, while extending the reach and exposure of both brands."
