Peter David Named 2011 Scribe Awards Grandmaster

The X-Factor writer to be honored by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers

Marvel Entertainment would like to extend our congratulations to Peter David, who has been named Grandmaster of the 2011 Scribe Awards! The awards, created by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers, honor excellence in the field of writing licensed tie-in novels for television shows, movies, and games. The title of Grandmaster is also meant to honor career achievement in the field, and there are few writers more deserving than Mr. David.

Mr. David has an extremely successful and longstanding career with Marvel, enjoying popular runs on notable titles such as X-FACTOR and INCREDIBLE HULK, with his work on the latter winning multiple Eisner Awards. Mr. David is also the author of over 50 novels, ranging from originals for the Star Trek and Babylon 5 universes to the novelization of major motion pictures, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, and The Hulk to name a few. Mr. David lives in New York with his wife Kathleen and their four children.
