Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark's first issue of Daredevil, following up the legendary run of Bendis and Maleev, has been an overwhelming hit with hardcore DD fans and new readers as well. Michael Bailey of SilverBulletComicbooks.com gave Daredevil #82 a "5 out of 5." He also added, "Brubaker and Lark pulled off a fantastic introductory story that makes you want to come back for more. Brubaker has the potential and ability to be the best Daredevil writer since Frank Miller, and I have a feeling that this story will stand as one of the best Daredevil stories ever told." Ain't It Cool News said, "I think this is one of those runs that is going to go down as something special. I can't wait for the next issue." TheComicFanatic.com calls Daredevil #82 an "A+" and says "Brubaker picks up where Bendis left off without missing a beat [and] Lark was the perfect choice to follow in Maleev's footsteps."
