By Ben Morse Their work may be out of this world, but for the foreseeable future, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning will be keeping residence in the House of Ideas as the writing duo collectively known as DnA has signed exclusively with Marvel. "We're delighted and really looking forward to sinking our teeth into lots of Marvel work with characters we've grown up reading and love," enthuses Lanning. Renowned for their science fiction opuses and role in the revitilization of the Marvel cosmic landscape, DnA made universe-shaking waves with the ANNIHILATION: CONQUEST event earlier this year and continue to reach for the stars each month in the pages of NOVA and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Under their new agreement, the bold Brits vow to continue expanding their space-faring agenda in all directions. "With NOVA and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, we've the opportunity to really open out Marvel's cosmic universe," notes Abnett. "There are other plans afoot, but it is too early to talk about them yet." Lanning, also well-respected throughout the industry for his skilled work inking artists like Phil Jimenez, will be bringing those skills exclusively to Marvel as well. "It made sense to tie the whole package together, something Marvel was willing and able to do," Lanning explains of his all-inclusive exclusive. As Marvel exclusive creators, Abnett and Lanning, both longtime fans in addition to being top level creative dynamoes, look forward to playing with toys both old and new. "We would relish any opportunity to work on classic Marvel characters," advocates Abnett. "[That includes] perhaps ways to connect the cosmic characters with heroes from Marvel Earth!"
