By Chris Bramante Each week we highlight a classic storyline told in full inside Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, the greatest collection of Marvel comics available online! This week we revisit NEW X-MEN: E IS FOR EXTINCTION!
With both the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Wolverine and the X-Men featuring the first screen representations of sultry X-woman and one-time villain Emma Frost, this week's Digital Comics Spotlight brings us back to when the former White Queen first decided to cross over to Professor Charles Xavier's team in NEW X-MEN: E IS FOR EXTINCTION. In Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's "E is for Extinction," Beast has created the Cerebra chamber, which amplifies Xavier's mutant detection ability to a global scale and the Professor senses a threat so dangerous it makes his mind bleed. Sent to investigate, Wolverine and Cyclops discover evolving self-aware Sentinels who have launched an attack on Genosha and Emma Frost finds her life in danger and must join forces with her one-time enemies. With her villainous past, the White Queen crosses boundaries that the X-Men cannot but she will prove that even former foes can become powerful allies. Read the entire three-issue arc at Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited!
