Yep, 3840mph... and I would think if it is a Cyclops thought, that he would know Mach speeds by heart, being a pilot and all. So I hope this is one error fixed by publishing day (else an editor needs a talking to). If some lame explanation like "Cyclops was so confused by the situation he didn't get even that right" creeps in, I'm going to be extremely disappointed, but logic benders like the seasoned Colossus needing to be told to armor up, while running towards the source of an attack, and also failing to do so just so he could be taken down (come on, couldn't someone have taken him out telepathically instead?) is already marring my enjoyment of this title. I already tell myself not to be too annoyed by so small a force infiltrating the X-base and physically taking them on and out (whereas one would expect an illusory, backed by psychic, assault would've been the logical way to go given the nature of this group, so they could at least totally misdirect most of the X and slip out with their objective, yet still have the satisfying-to-audiences clashes against more psych resistant characters - it astounds me that creatives teams do not think of this). And I otherwise like the concept of this storyline, but Fraction isn't making me like his take on this as much as I want to, and for now, does not even the inker, colorist, proof reader (there is one right?) know that 300mph isn't even half Mach 1?As for Psylocke being psi-assault proof, let's go ahead and chalk that up to hyperbole, 'cause in Exiles, that was already contradicted in a storyline - but I more buy it here since Spiral, Madelyne, magic and reality bending is involved. The still-bound Asian body indicates to me that her essence more so has animated the revived Kwannon than that she was strictly transferred and taken over though.

      Mach 5 isn't 300mph, more like just under 4000mph @ sl.

[quote@bevedale Ok, I must confess I have not been following this arc. But since Psylocke is my fav. X-Women, I seem to remember something about her being re-made by her borther and no one can ever mess with her head with mental attacks or possessions and so forth. Question: Is this FACT being ignored or did they come up with a clever way to get around the FACT that Psylocke can never ever ever ever be messed with telepathically/mind controly/or anything like that? I mean, she had her psyche switched? That sounds a lot like a telepathic attack to me.[/quote] They now have 2 Psylockes; one, the original english version, and the other, the Asian-Kwannon version. the english version is the one that the Black Queen is controlling right now. She used this process that "created" them to bring back her own body...she's currently using an Astral from.....possibly trying to resurrect Jean Grey as the former Goblin Queen is a clone of Jean. :psylocke:

I guess that is why they had to use Betsy's english body as opposed to the ninja form. :psylocke:
