After the stunning events of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #600, Spider-Man's life has become more unpredictable than ever, and it's about to get even more tangled in the all new ongoing WEB OF SPIDER-MAN, launching this October! That's right, it's the first new Spider-Man monthly series in two years and it kicks off with a bang, as one of Spider-Man greatest and most controversial foes returns! Each extra-sized issue of WEB OF SPIDER-MAN features your favorite Spider-Man writers and artists presenting can't-miss Spidey stories!

"With the ‘Gauntlet' storyline starting up and many classic adversaries of Spider-Man coming back to the book, we wanted to find a place to tell you more about them without it eating up too many pages of the thrice-weekly AMAZING SPIDER-MAN," explains series editor Steve Wacker. "So while we were tossing ideas around on where to best put that stuff, beleaguered assistant Tom Brennan came up with the notion to bring back the [WEB OF SPIDER-MAN] title as a way to give a home to stories to people caught up in Pete's life. Starting with the first issue's Kaine story by J.M. DeMatteis and then continuing onto stories about Electro, the Rhino, the Lizard and many more by Web-Head Fred Van Lente and regular Spidey artist Barry Kitson, the stories here directly impact what we're doing in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!"

Plus, don't miss the continuing adventures of Spider-Girl in this all-new ongoing series! Every month, WEB OF SPIDER-MAN's your place to get the new adventures of Mayday Parker as brought to you by the incomparable team of Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz! What's next for the Spectacular Spider-Girl? Fans, new and old alike, will be thrilled by the answers!

Spider-Man's got everyone's spider-senses tingling with the thrice monthly AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, but now you can get even more Spider-action in WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #1, arriving in stores this October!

Man, the Kaine story is enough to get me to buy this comic. I too am not that into Spider-Girl, but I am going to go back and read some of the earlier stuff...then make a decision on that one.But yeah...I will get the issue(s) that Kaine will be in.

This sounds all well and good except for the fact that I'm not interested in the adventures of May Parker. I don't really want to pay more money for a bigger issue every month when I don't even want to read the extra stuff. It's a good deal for spider-girl fans but not for the rest of us!

Kaine returning? DeMatteis writing? Count me in.

[quote@spider-warrior Just when you thought you couldn't get enough spidey action. Man it justkeeps getting better and better. I wonder if this new series will be BND related.[/quote] Of course it's BND related, BND is the official new direction of Spidey since it happened, this is merely looking at the Spidey world without necessarily focusing on Spider-Man, that's all. I don't know if it was misinformed or what, but the question almost sounded like you believe things spinning out of BND have all been some alternate dimension or something, but no, that is what happened to Spider-Man and it all sits as it was in the MU.That aside, and apart from this announcement that saw the "thrice-weekly..." error again (in the same article as the correction "thrice-monthly, to boot - I can understand/forgive it being a slip, but it'd be great and professional of an official website to proof and make the correction before posting up), I wonder if some future storyline is going to address the issue that a villain technically won. New direction for Spidey and all aside, will the acts of Mephisto ever become revealed to anyone else in the MU? ...and if so, what will come of it? I'm not saying this all needs to be magically reversed the same way it was magically implemented, but I do declare that this is indeed story material.
