When it comes to SECRET WARRIORS, the secrets never stop coming-and neither do the jaw-dropping and eye-popping reactions from readers after each and every single amazing reveal.

Spinning out of SECRET INVASION, the series follows Nick Fury and his underground band of rebels as they fight the good fight against some of the most dangerous forces in the Marvel Universe. With the book's first arc drawn to an epic close, check five of the most shocking moments from the maiden voyage of SECRET WARRIORS as we move into the next chapter.

NICK FURY: AGENT OF HYDRA? (SECRET WARRIORS #1)
Heroes and readers alike see the power structure of the Marvel Universe turn on end in the very first issue of SECRET WARRIORS with the last-page reveal showing just how many heads HYDRA truly has, including its most shocking branch: the now defunct military organization S.H.I.E.L.D.! This moment causes the always unwavering Fury to question every move he ever made and rockets HYDRA from middling antagonist to one of the biggest and most successful criminal empires in the Marvel U.

CASUALTIES OF WAR (SECRET WARRIORS #3)
In their first real battle, the Warriors take on the recently resurrected Gorgon-who proceeds to lop off the hands of the group's resident speedster Yo-Yo. But the sword-swinging baddy doesn't want to play with toys, he wants to play with a god. In a confrontation that screams intensity, Ares' son Phobos faces Gorgon, who simply tells him, "I have died and been reborn again. There is nothing I fear." Alex leaves to reunite with his team, but seeing Gorgon spook the God of Fear creates a chill that would make Iceman jealous.

THE DRINKING COMMANDOS (SECRET WARRIORS #4)
Fury finally reunites with his longtime allies Dum Dum Dugan, Jasper Sitwell and Gabriel Jones over a few beers and some good laughs. Seeing these old soldiers together again in this small but momentous scene really brings a smile to the face and gets readers raising their own glass in a toast to Nick Fury and the Howling Commandos.

WHAT WAR IS GOOD FOR (SECRET WARRIORS #5)
You know that previous entry about how awesome it was to see the Howling Commandos sharing a drink together? The only thing more awesome: seeing those same boys in action as they blow the hell out of a H.A.M.M.E.R facility! The action quickly escalates higher as HYDRA makes its presence felt in the form of Baron Von Strucker, Kraken, the Hive and Gorgon. From start to finish, this issue plays out like the action-filled climax to summer's biggest blockbuster.

THE MADAME OF THE HOUSE (SECRET WARRIORS #6)
SECRET WARRIORS #2 coiled one heck of an enigma around readers' brains when the book introduced a new and mysterious Madame Hydra. Who was this new femme fatale? How did she replace former HYDRA head Viper? SECRET WARRIORS issue #6 finally addressed the mystery of the character's identity: Nick Fury's lover and ally Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The last page reveal serves as arguably the title's most dizzying moment thus far, raising a whole new set of questions!

SECRET WARRIORS #7, courtesy writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Alessandro Vitti and guest-starring the Dark Avengers, hits stands August 26!
